The Heart was drowning in the flood of memory,
The pain, the hurt, the doom for eternity.
No ray of hope, no beam of light,
Only fire and burns, without a soothing touch on sight.
All numb and wary, no emotions felt,
The heart shut down, in agony it slept.
A beam of light slowly crept through,
But full of distress, the heart did not have a clue.
The warmth, the glory, was dancing all around,
But the eyes stared ahead and the lips made no sound.
Famished and tired, the eyes were dreaming,
Drowned and bleeding, the heart was sleeping.
A healing hand touched the heart soothingly,
But deaf and numb, it kept on fantacising blindly.
The tears were wiped, the hurt was healed,
But the eyes refused to see and the heart refused to feel.
Staring into the nothingness in front,
It failed to feel the loving comfort.
The mind refused to move ahead,
In the flood of agony it drowned instead.
The arms were waiting to engulf with love,
The sweet words whispering, willing the hurt to stop.
But self-pity and ego had build a strong sheild,
Oblivious to the love, ignorant of others' need.
But one morning a beam of light swept to the heart,
The eyes were awake, the heart ready for a new start.
Looking around for the arms that had healed,
The words that had encouraged, the eyes so full of plead.
Instead it saw a shattered dream,
The eyes were blank staring into nothing it seemed.
Healing whispers now changed into words of failure,
No passion in the heart, no aim, no desire.
It had waited, it had dreamt, tried to move the world,
But the ignorance had destroyed and killed the love.
The hope was gone and the heart was bleeding,
The eyes were closed and the mind was sleeping.
The hands that were earlier hurt moved forward to heal
The shattered heart of the angel that had taught it to dream.
The follower had to now become the leader,
Student once, now had to be the teacher.
So on goes the the journey of uncertainity.
A journey of hope to succeed ultimately.
