 Iphone 3gs sound not working

Friends, I am having some problems with Iphone 3gs. Speaker does not work at all. No sound, no ringtones etc. But, headphones still work. I have even tried some headphone tricks that i found in Google. No luck.
Please let me know if you guys have faced this problem and was able to fix it. I would appreciate a lot.
