I didnt go to a lotta events coz i am a normal broke nepali student...but of the ones I did go..

the mega rock night where there were 25 ppl in the audience.. I ve heard ppl driving 28hrs from CA for this event and even my frens were so excited... I feel really sorry for you guys... but no matter what m pretty sure Nisarga, and Rashik and The Rock Flu were awesome!!!

the expectations of SMS ruined and xpectations from SMS also ruined...played two songs n that was it..only one row of ppl!!

dj night reminded me of our nepali parties in irving 5 yrs ago...gotta give it up fo the ladies tho...they was fine! :p

the cricket tournament I took part in had only ONE official and not even a drop of water... in this texas sun!!
The LEG umpire and the SCORER were both from batting side!! I talked with the official, response was "manchhe khojeko ho payena...aaunu parne ko pani kaam paryo rey!!"

the food stall was in a place where no one would look.. I did find it the last night tho..

Same hall for each n every event n ppl had to pay go in...come out.. Pay again go in..come out and pay again go in.............$$$$$

The best thing about the whole ANA was the overcrowded GOSSIP bar where ppl had to wait half an hour to get their
drinks and yet people were there instead of other events inside...

besides there was another bar, actually a better one inside which was essentially waiting for people but then who would care about an empty bar when u get to wait in line for your drinks..also coz of the ladies I guess :)

Dallas ladies and all the ladies from wherever....all of em loooked stunning..thank you ladies...

But as you might have guessed I was drunk most of the time I was at the Hilton so you might have experienced a lil different than me... good for you then :)

I went to Hilton Anatole.... ANA not so much ;)

To all the people from all over...if u had similar experience please dont be hatin on dallas in general.. it was the management that went wrong..
all the volunteers busted their asses off for free... That was not dallas but a mere reflection of few....

ANA is done by almost all young generations like you not some politically affiliated organizations of Texas. This is the first time ANA changed their old strategies of involving a lot of big big names in ANA. There are always positive and negative feedback from any events. Nothing is 100%.

Had it been organized by texas local organizations, there would have been a lot of competion for who we should bring from Nepal. Everybody wants to bring their some  relatives along with band or politicians from Nepal. These local texas organizations just don't want young generation like you to come forward and challenge them.

These texas local organization started bad mouthing about ANA because it did not come in their hands.

ANA is to promote local artist not the artist from Nepal. It seems like they did not invite anyone from Nepal this time.

You know when they invite anyone from Nepal, then human traffiking starts. For eg. if you invite a band from Nepal, they will bring extra few unknown people from Nepal. These bands charge heavy money from them for entering USA. ANA is a medium for such traffikers to do it legally. So you can imagine how many big people have eye on ANA.

Even if you invite some politicians, they bring unknown people. Even politicians from Nepal have wide eyes for ANA. They just curiously wait when the next ANA will happen and ANA will invite them. Even all bands from Nepal have wide eye.
But at the end it is the consular who decides.

Looking at the feedback I guess it didnt go well. I have never been to one, and I have never heard anything good about it either. Makes me wonder, if i ever get a chance to go, Should I ? or Just let it pass??

Regards,
Subbu

I also hear a lot of negative feedback. But if you don't criticize you don't know what went wrong.
But ANA gala continues and hope young generation will eventually do better one day.

Don't forget this is the first time ANA by youth.
