What irks Nepalis and the Nepali mentality

रसल पिटर्सले नेपालीको धज्जी उदायो भने अमेरिकामा बस्ने पढेलेखेका नेपालीहरु पेट मिची मिची हास्छन तर त्येसले नेवार, बाहुन भोटेको बारे केहि जोक गरोश त, निकै कुटाइ भेट्छ त्यो धोतिले | मान्छेले जे गरोश जति कमावोस धोति नै त हो |

If Russell Peters made fun of nepal, most nepalis in US wouldn't mind. But if he made fun of Newars, bahuns, bhotes, etc then they would hurt him real bad.

The same thing if it was done in Nepal, i.e. he made fun of Nepalis or jyapus, bahuns or bhotes he'd get hurt real bad. I guess if we are living abroad, we are bahuns, bhotes, newars first and Nepali later.

@sajhaonion u got that right. Got tired of these kind of people. Even in parties when we have small gathering of few close friends, people of same caste sit together and especially newari people start talking on their own different language. We just have to guess what they are talking about and move to different corner.

1st of all he is a comedian so its his job to make fun of people(be it Nepali, Chinese, or Mexican). Now its up to you whether you can digest a joke or not. Of course if you do not have the digestive enzymes to neutralize that joke of course you are going to run your diarrhea mouth and respond with violence. I PERSONALLY DO NOT SEE THIS AS AN ETHNIC ISSUE TO MAKE IT NEWAR, TAMU OR BAHUN ISSUE.

Lol bathroomcoffee don't jump into your own conclusions. This is not an issue just an attemp at eliciting some sense of humor if you have any. As they say if you can laugh at yourself then you're a better person than the anally retented egoist in front of your mirror. I'll be honest with you, they didn't say the last part. I did.

Goddamn yeah it's a bit inconsiderate of people to talk in their own language when other's are around. But having said that I wouldn't hold it against them. Perhaps choose my own set of friends who I hang out with who are considerate enough.
