Looks like little Ronnie's imagination is on a wild ride ;)

To the Chinese invaders, can you please de-Republicanize the country - otherwise Sarah Palin might emerge as the Muqtada Al-Sadr of America. While you are at it, can you  please ensure Newt gets a sea-burial ? No need to worry about Mitt, he's now for the Chinese invasion and swears the press mischaracterized his stand on the issue earlier. :D

Not sure if you saw the whole clip; the message is not that Chinese attack is imminent or they are going to invade US. The message is a hypothetical equivalent of what is happenning right now and why it is bad. US occupying a sovereign country's land in the name of national defense is challenged on this clip.
Nice clip.

I guess Ron Paul is talking about our troops in Afghanistan.  To a certain degree, I agree.

But.

I am for keeping our military bases around the world where our allies allow us.  Japan, Korea, Germany, Bahrain, Qatar, UK, and most recently, Australia do allow us to keep our military bases in their lands.  While the base itself might be considered extra-constitutional arena in some of those countries, if the US personnel commit crime there, they are subject to local laws.

It is true that having armed forces stationed strategically around the globe does cost us pretty nickel.  But I believe the benefit outweighs cost in this regard.  I just don't want us to go on another unnecessary war like the one George Bush led us to in Iraq.

Look into Jon Huntsman's platform as an alternative to Ron Paul's.

Just my 2 cents.

Agree with your point.

Ron Paul is a hardliner, he will stick to his principles regardless of what it means short term or long term. There are good things and bad things about that, but whatever it is the man deserves immense respect and is a one of a kind politician.

I like Huntsman but he is too much of a status quo. If you like no-change, then stick with Obama.

China is very caution playing its role that will be trade and economy. It will stay away from war and does not need it.
America wanted Chinese currency to evaluate but China is not giving a damn other than being diplomatic answer, which brings trade deficit gap wide
r and wider.

Yes, In past we have seen many Communist countries  and their progress. Many fall down including Soviet Rusia and it's allies ( Do not say it is Regan diplomacy ) . Have your heard the story of Chauchesku 's wealth and his bunker, they are just as the dictetorship ruling.

Yes, we are enjoying it and side by side we are saying it evil.  Yes , it becomes evil if every one acts like Mr. Madeoff.

Question: Is the system is evil or the person who misutilize the system are evil?

Stiffler

Have you considered that the sarcasm of some of the posts might have escaped you? Not all sarcasms and perceptions are created equal I guess.

Yep. Considered that too. Didn't work except for your post which I wasn't referring to anyway. Did you consider that?

It just shows how some people like to stress on their own opinions without even understanding the topic of discussion. It's funny but they won't realize how the jokes on them.

Just to continue the off-topic conversation, for the heck of it, here's an article about Georgetown professor's and his students' findings on China's rising military power.  Not exactly a credible source for alarm, but it does make one think about possible future global conflicts.
