I was so fascinated by this documentary series that I watched this 30-part series at 1 go. The series traces human migration out of africa. It's so fascinating to learn that genetic and archaelogical evidences clearly show that every non-african human in the world is a direct decendent from a few hundred africans that migrated out of africa, some 70,000 years ago. I highly recommend this highly informative and entertaining series!!!

A professor from Columbia University has been doing human genealogy research called "The Genographic Project" which also traces our roots to Africa's Rift Valley in Tanzania/Kenya.  Here's a link to that project's site:

https://genographic.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/lan/en/atlas.html

If you are interested, for some 99 bucks, you can buy a kit to track your genetic lineage as well.

History is often wrong. Yes, we've taken for guarantee of the African Theory so far, but as more modern science develop and more people are joining the science of archeology, more places are being excavated, we're seeing things which questions the theory. Recently a finding in Europe (IDA) and few weeks ago, another finding in the Middle East shows some concerns about the original theory. While these cases might not be sufficient to challenge the old school of the African origin, but it is definitely a thing to consider. We could we completly wrong about something. Take a look at IDA, 47 million years old, and LUCI that modern world hails is only 3+ million years old.. If you can, find the documentary and watch it complety, it's an eye opening and definitely questions whether we really started out from Africa.

As far as I understand, although it is widely accepted that all hominids (neanderthals, homo erectus etc.) originated in Africa, there is no conclusive evidence to prove this theory a 100%.  However, as far as our particular species (Homo sapiens) is concerned, the fact that both the mitochondrial dna and y-chromosomal dna( in men) of all existing humans can be traced back to african origin seems like a conclusive evidence that supports the idea that we are africans afterall. Please let me know if I'm missing something here.
