that is called inflation my friend, this is not only in Nepal but everywhere in the world.
@ Tregor that was around Grand Parents Young ages . I Remember talking to dad about Prices of stuffs during his Childhood times . After 6Yrs i went to Nepal and noticed there's no Value of money anymore inflation has touched the sky ...sometimes i wonder how do those lower/middle-class family survive in same community where rich show off people exists. That must be painful life for those people who can't get what their kids demand .
I also used to think like you iPwN, how those middle-class families survive in Nepal? But they are not only surviving but also spending a lot ..... I don't know where the money comes from.

The ones who got Job in good place .....Corruption is alternative to state the bitter Truth , I saw people struggling to live in same society with higher class families cause they can't meet the requirement for their kids . Not everyone has money to spend like others they have to calculate everything for whole month before spending on something because they don't know if their monthly salary can cover every demands.
Cannot believe this....
what is the source??
Strange.....Ghee measured in dharni.... never seen that before..... rather than usual Mana/Pathi
raandi neta harule bigare. inflation is the biggest problem that any struggling economy faces.
@gyanguru
i dont know the exact source but i got it from my friend's face book album.
@iPwN
Corruption is common amid bureaucrats in Nepal since state do not pay enough salary to them. Not enough to even for their survival. State itself has made our bureaucrats sluggish and corruption oriented.
While talking about inflation, we don't need to compare today's rate with 50 years back rate.
I used to buy one kilo of sugar in NRs. 25 before 5 years now it has reached up to 100. Moreover, dearth of sugar and other daily consumable stuffs during festivals and strikes and this is because of corrupted businessmen. What to do, whole system is corrupted. Politics damadol ta economy ani sabai damadol.
If you look at the market price of neighboring countries at that time it may not be different. To compare present market price, again you have to keep in mind neighboring countries as well global economic market too.
