Hello guys,

I am a grad student. I was
planning to go back to Nepal on december. But the problem is I have only
2 classes left which is one in fall and other in spring. In 2010,
I took 9 in spring and 9 in summer since it was offered only in summer.
So my question is:

1. I wanted to go 1 week earlier so I got
permission from my professor too. So will I be able to go 1 week ahead?

2. Can I only take one class in fall since my advisor said it
is okay but I want to be sure.

3. On spring the class is
online which I should be able to do it from nepal also and can I come
little bit late on february but the classes starts on january.

im05,
you can go one weak earlier and come back on February as you like but the thing is you must reenter US before the return date mentioned in the 2nd page of your I20. so make sure you put the date on which you plan to return to the US in your I20. you can take 1 class in fall but you must be registered as part time student for that; so talk to your international education officer about that.

Thanks chu chu. My advisors also said so but was not sure about the little late thing. And did you mean i needed to be registered as fulltime or part time?
