I have a question with changing my address on driver license. I had this license since two years. I have just moved to a new place within a same state. I don't have anything listed in the driver license like( Temporary visitor). Do anybody have any experience with changing address will affect or will they put that( temporary visitor) in new license. I tried to change online but it keep asking my social security which I don't have. I guess I have to go to DPS. I am still not sure it is good idea to change address? I will change only if there would not be anything like ( temporary visitor or something else) whatever. Anybody have any ideas? please share.
Yes with big red letter it says temporary visitor, and the expiary date will be when your temp visitor status ends. Originally expiary date on my licence was 2014 but after i change my address it is now 2012. It's good per law to change address, but upto you.
It is just a change of address, can be done online, they will send you a bar coded new address sticker, you will stick in the rear of your DL.
Thanx syanjali and jhilke dai....
As I have already mentioned....I don't have social security number.......at the time, when I get license I was required to fill out some kind of form, which I did.....I tried update my address online and it required SSN, without this field fill out they did not allowed me to go further......I am thinking what to do..............any ideas............pls.
you can not do online unless u have s.s. the only option u have, is to go to DPS and change it or stick with the old address.
