Is there an Apple store in Nepal.
Last summer when I was in Nepal I saw few Apple stores. I didn't go in though. I am just wondering if they are legitimate authorized Apple retailers. Do you guys have any ideas?

There are many. If you go to Kalimati . there are several whole sale apple store. You can find many in Ason and Kalimati area too. Jokes apart , I dont think there are any Apple Store in KTM yet.
rahashya, that was a nice one. I knew someone would come up with that. lol. Well, I saw an apple store with big Apple logo signboard in one of the malls in ktm. I was just wondering if they are the authorized retailer. Is there any place where you can buy genuine Apple Iphone in Ktm? If so, how much does it cost?
I did visit the apple store at Durbar Marg (near sherpa mall) a month ago while I was in Nepal. I don't think they are the authorized retailers of apple products though.
Distant memory, but...there was one authorized "repair" shop in Kamaladi (Tukucha) in 1993-97. Soon, there was a PC boom, and not many people (including us) used Mac after that. I think that repair-shop was there even after 97 (not sure the same or other management). They used to repair (hard or software) Mac under warranty (bought in Singapore or elsewhere) for free during 94-97. They repaired only Apple-Mac under warranty for free, so I assume it was "authorized" store. There's everything in Nepal now, I think there should be at least one.
However, http://www.apple.com/retail/storelist/ shows they have retail stores only in 10 countries!!!!
Do they sell the authentic Apple iPhone or the Chinese clones? What is the cost price of iPhone in Nepal?

most of them go from the US and other parts, I wouldnt buy an iphoney in Nepal.
Well like budhoman6e said, if there are Authorized apple retailers in Nepal then the iPhone they sell should be genuine too and there should be a fixed retail price. Just wanted to know the retail price of iPhones in Nepal.
the price of iphone can vary in accordance to sellers and store.
some sell iphone 4 32gb for $1000+ some sell for $600+
both are original
some sell iphone 4 16gb for $800+ some sell for $400+
both are original..
there are many unauthorized apple sellers and wholesalers in Kathmandu mainly Thamel Area.
These business don't open publicly and don't have shop like atmosphere..they have large hall type environment and all iphones are stored there..
One of the largest unauthorized wholesalers is Kathmandu Intl Inc. Heard it is run by Mr Paras the ex prince of Nepal, the security is tight and nobody is allowed to trespass around..they supply import and export mostly to european country.
other unauthorized stores can be like ABC traders in NewRoad ,
Balaji Electronics in New Baneswor.

all business takes place underground but they aren't illegal they have license from the government...
I don't know about their applecare warranty tho.
I recently visited Nepal. Things are much more expensive than here in the states. For the same camera I bought here for just 110$, it was 19000 Rs there. So, for the electronics not manufactured in Nepal will be expensive undoubtedly. Vegetables, fruits ( dont imagine fresh like here ) will be I say lil cheaper in comparison to the prices here.
