Somerville man's alleged murderer caught
By William Tauro
The man accused of allegedly killing a store clerk at a Roslinedale Tedeschi's Store is facing murder charges of Surendra Dangol, 39 of Somerville. 63 year old Edward Corliss allegedly shot Dangol even after he surrendered the cash registers's money.
Corliss will be arraigned Tuesday in West Roxbury District Court on murder charges, masked armed robbery and firearms violations.
POLICE REPORT:
Commissioner Davis's speaking points on the arrest of Edward Corliss
COMMISSIONER DAVIS' SPEAKING POINTS ON THE ARREST OF J.P. HOMICIDE SUSPECT Good Afternoon. Thanks to the remarkable and relentless collaborative effort put forth by the Boston Police Department and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, today we are able to bring justice for the tragic and untimely death of Surendra Dangol – a law abiding, hard working man who came to this country seeking a better life for himself and his family. The charges brought today against Mr. Dangol’s murderer - Edward Corliss- was made possible by true shoe-leather detective work and an around-the-clock effort that was strategically executed by a number of officers intent on holding this dangerous perpetrator accountable for his brazen and horrific crime. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Boston Police homicide detectives, the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, the Special Investigations Unit, members of the BRIC, officers from District 13 and the prosecutors. It was their hard work, sacrifice and tireless pursuit of justice that left no stone unturned as they doggedly tracked down this heartless killer. On the day after Christmas, Edward Corliss made a decision to not only rob a convenience store, he also robbed Kalpana Dangol of a husband, 9 year-old Sanila of a father and a community of a sense of peace and security. For that decision and its tragic consequences, Corliss will be held accountable. I hope that today’s development brings a small amount of relief to his family, Kalpana and Sanila, who are trying to cope in the wake of their unimaginable loss.

Rest in peace. Hope killer feels he has done mistake and victims get strength to overcome loss of Mr. Surendra Dongol.
Finally some good news. I hope this will give a closer to the victim's family and they can move on knowing that the killer of their loved one will pay for what he did and I hope that it is capital punishment.
Can the victim's family now file civil lawsuits? There should be hefty compensation... The poor victim's family will have a hard time dealing with the loss of the bread-winner.
The guy looks like a whack job. look at his crazy eyes.
Condolence to the victim and great detective work, Boston Police Department. Kudos.
Fox News and 7 News interviewed grieving Mrs Dangol earlier this evening during the 12 day services held in Boston.
If this is the killer, where is the car driver (accomplice)?
the driver of the car was his wife.
he had killed another store Clark in 1971 he was sent to life time imprisonment but later released.
had the son of the bitch be hung to death a nepali's life would have been saved.
God bless surendra and may his soul rest in peace.
He should get a death sentence for this sort of heinous crime.
