What exactly is the difference among, Whisky, scotch, vodka, rum, brandy,zin,wine, and beer? I know the alcohol content.

Whisky- They drink Jack Daniels and think its whisky. Whisky is for retards and alcoholics and 40 yrs old divorcee.

Scotch- below 35 not allowed drinking. You gotta meet some certain level like me.

Rum- Strictly for Caribbeans and retard Puerto Ricans . Makes best Mojitos.

Brandy- Ask French mofos, they are the one who invent weird shit. IF you ever drink one shot, it stinks for miles.

Zin- If you tell me you are a gin drinker, Go back to Nepal. More like you are saying “you live in Texas and you are a COWBOY”

Beer- for brokes, to enjoy well summer and for Sundays (makes you look less alcoholic) and for cheap dates, which always ends up never getting laid.

Wine- RESERVED FOR ME. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY WITH 2005 FLOWERS PINOT NOIR FROM NAPA TONIGHT.

Oh Vodka- everyone rapes vodka. They think they know it very well; everyone is very emotional about it. They order dirty martini and asks for more dirty, meaning go to corner store and buy olive juice. Makes you shit faced in zero seconds. After 2, it makes you feel like you are the coolest guy in crowd. After 4, you end up having fight with the Girls bf and after 6, you are too proud to pee and vomit everywhere.

Tequila- heading to disaster. What’s up with the lime? You think it helps you cut alcohol? Well, after three, you are the first one to get kicked out of the bar. Drink Tequila, if you are with friends and getting bored. Bouncers will get your job done.

Scotch is a whiskey that is distilled in Scotland and and branded by Johnny Walker. It's quality is measured by its age. The best one is Blue label , 20 yrs old.

Other whiskey may be distilled in anywhere. Like Jack Daniel's is US Whiskey.

Brandy: basically drink when you feel cold. It will warm you up real hot.

scotch is not only branded by Johnny Walker... any whisky [ note: not whiskey ] made is scotland is a SCOTCH. { i am sure you can go in internet and find more but in short } { they are made out or particular grain like barley; malt. in other words whisky's are distilled beers :) ]

there are blended whisky like Johnny Walker; Chivas; Dewars

[ btw red label is the worst one in the scotch. black is equivalent to dewars-12 and chivas-12; gold is a slight notch above dewars-18 and chivas-18]

there are other scotches Single Malts like Mccallan; Glenfiddich and Glenlivit.

single malts are far better than blended. Glenlivit-18 is good.

whisky is made is scotland and whiskey are made anywhere else :)

Brandy = more like a medicine for cold :) . its usually made out of fruit. in other words brandy = distilled wine (or better wine).

Remy Martin, Courvoisier, Hennesey are few of the cognac's i can think of. [ btw dump E&J at the first sight.. it a shame in the name of cognac. ] btw, all the cognacs are branded in VS; VSOP; XO [ similar to whisky's 12, 18 :) ]

Whiskey is distilled spirit made from fermented grains and are aged in wood barrels.
Scotch is also a whiskey made in Scotland.
Vodka is a plain alcohol distilled so that it has almost no flavor. generally made from grains and potatoes.
Rum is from fermented sugarcane juice.
Gin is basically vodka flavored with juniper berries and other spices.
Wine is made from grapes.
Beer is from barley.

If you put water in Zin and drink you get drunk
If you put water in rum and drink you will get drunk
If you put water in a vodka and drink , you will get drunk

So my conclusion is the real alcohol is in Water.

Its the taste. Just like studying physics, chemistry, maths, accounts, management, etc. You get degree by studying anything but that doesn't mean all courses are the same.

Though I am not an alcholic, I enjoy drinks in the weekends and I can clearly identify all the drinks mentioned here even if I am blindfolded. I am particularly fond of whiskies and brandies and can identify the few of the brands by taste, like JD from Scotch, single malt scotch from blended one, Martel from Remy to name the few. Also if you want to know the difference just try Nepali Bagpiper whiskey and scotch both at the same time in two different glasses maybe with few ice cubes but do not ruin the taste by using mixers like coke, ginger ale, etc.

To add a line, taking few shots of alcohol few times a week does not necessarily damage the liver but it does give you a buzz without making you an addict like hard drugs.
