Many people complain about life in Australia including few friends- how it is tough to get a job etc? We are facing rough times in US too but I think we are better off here.

Agree or disagree - your choice.

Australia for me. Why?  Because most of the people's first priority is not a job rather than staying in the country. Australia offers easy oppertunity to be resident.  Hoina bhane kina job napauda ni  k k garera status badaera bascha.  If somebody is looking for a job people would rather go to nepal where they can get job much more easily than australia or US.

Regarding the job it is very difficult to say. In australia if you have graduated from university you have better chance of getting job than graduating from some cheap colleges. Cheap colleges are good for getting status. If somebody has graduated from university i think there is no difference between austrlia and US. If somebody has graduated from cheap colleges in australia than US is definitely better.

damikattu ji, US degree is world recognized bhannu bho. yo recognization bhanne kura student lai attract garna matra thik ho .

Tara how many people who study in US wants to go other country and work.  US ma sapai university ramrai cha bhanne ni chaina. Every country recognizes their own education system. If some people from US wants to work in EU country they will find difficulty in getting job compared to the one who has EU degree. Same thing can be said with the EU degree trying to find jobs in USA and especially canada..

Not kidding, if you apply for job in Australia with US degree you will have lesser preference than the one who has graduated from good australian university.

Recognization kai kura garne ho bhane Nepal kai degree ma ni top position ma kaam gari ra chan. Especially in UK and Australia many nepalese have immigrated on highly skilled work force. I know quite a few getting jobs there. Most important factor for all the countries (bar probably canada) is that wether you have leagal right to work in that country or not.

However, i do agree that in US probably chances of getting jobs might be higher if you have degree from good university because it is a big market.

Don't know. If you get degree in Australia and canada you can get settled without headache like in US. It is really simple. Its really catch 22 situation.  And we all know getting jobs mainly depends on your status even more so than qualification particularly in current situation.

By the way , talking about getting settling down Australian passport is as powerful than US passport.  You don't need visa to many country same as US.

However, An australian can come to US without visa, but a US cannot go to Australia without travel authority. .

Recently, I have met a guy Alex who had PhD degree from Harvard, in Molecular Genetics. Also, he has years of post doc experience in USA. Later when he came back home, he is fighting hard to get assistant position in the medical faculty.

I do not see the point that USA degree are highly recognized. Even the degree of Bihar University can be best if the guy from Bihar university makes publication in good impact journal !

All this Education recognized  Worldwide thing  is only to attract prespective student.  US graduate are finding hard to get jobs in US itself  let alone all over the world. Similarly EU graduate are finding hard to get jobs in EU. Doesn't matter   If you are an oxford graduate, canadian employer don't even give a s*** unless you have north american qualification.  It is world wide phenomena.

People here is asking where can i find the job?  But for many after graduating their preference changes and becomes how can i maitain my status . Believe it or not. At least Australia offers better passage to permanent residency. Yeah US might offer highly paid jobs.  But at the end of the day it all depends upon luck .

well getting jobs totally depends on your qualification and skill. what i have experienced in USA is...your experience counts more than your degree. i do agree degree is important. maintaining status is not easy in usa as compared to other countries. but if i have to choose, USA is always my first option because america is a land of opportunity and none of the country in the world can give you those opportunities.

US is having it's own problem with it's economy right now.
The prospect of finding job has become thinner, so you might have problem finding job at this time when you come to US at this time.
there is competition in all kinds of jobs.
The high tech job has already busted, which even so requires college degree and experiences, let alone the competition in every level.
There is even bigger competition in blue colored jobs. The huge influx of illegal immigrants from south and beyond, has further added to the pain of the job-seekers in the US.
so it would be hard to recommend US, unless you wanna bring your bank balance to support yourself in here until you find a job.
However if you have any close friend here and can show you, help you or give you direction when you come here then you might do just fine.
can't say anything about Australia.
