NRNs - Aren't you a nepali?
Whenever we\ve gatherings of nepali community, there's just talk about bad things going in Nepal and talking about Bamdev, Makune, Girija, Prachanda etc.etc. I think these people think they're superior human beings who just criticizes all the time to boost their ego. But I want to ask them - aren't you responsible for that? Every nepali has obligation towards building his or her nation. We never ask ourselves - what have I done for our country. I feel, when the situation worsens in Nepal, that's the right time to go back and do something. In this post, let's share our views in finding out what we NRNs can do to help our country.
Right now all i can do is study hard and keep on writing against the saphead politicians so that one day those groups of domestic oxymorons following them will become cognizant of them and raise their voice against their false front.
khate NRN.
See what happened in one of the meeting of so called big NRNs in UK. Utterly shameful .
Nepal is my x-girlfriend. I am now have an American girlfriend...
Everybody compares motherland with mother, that is called MOTHERLAND......some ..... compare that with girlfriend......!
There is something wrong with NRNs or the Motherland (Nepal)
95% of Nepalese who go to America do not return. This is a fact.
Totally agree! EVERY where you meet nepalis they're talking about the country, the politics, how things should be run, how things SHOULDNT be run, how india should back the fk off, how it would be wonderful if China took over us..er.
Time for change! Why can't we talk about how Superman can beat the crap out of Batman, or what really lies in the heart of the sun, or how emus adapt to climate changes? Or just about how your day was.
Everyone doesnt have to start discussing administrative changes to the country. If you don't have an idea about how its run, but make an opinion of how it should be run, you're not going no where.
I'll bite the bullet and admit that I have no idea how the political system works. But that doesnt mean I'm not interested in hearing people WHO KNOW HOW IT DOES explain and discourse on the subject matter because ultimately it helps me gain more knowledge.
Intellectual debates have a positive influence on the community as a whole and not just on the participants. But where it gets ugly is when either, or both, participant(s) lacks insight and knowledge of his/her subject matter. Thats when the ego butts in and you see a lot of sh!t smearing going on. In the ending everyone stinks.
Cheers to intellectual debates, I for one would be interested in hearing serious down to earth discussions about the country (even if im unable to participate in the conversation). You will have my thanks!
Jai nepal.
