With an economy falling continuously below its grounds I wanted to know what is da safest major one can have? After getting my undergraduate degree in business administration I struggled a while for a job..Crazily looking for work, finally I landed in one where my major had nothing to do with. I landed as a researcher. Shocking but true. Now I'm towards the end of my OPT and have to enroll for my graduate studies. Thousands of majors have crossed my mind: sometimes Public Health, Physician assistant, accounting, finance, blah blah blah........All i want is da safest bet. I've spent too much time risking and therefore after 19-20 years of going to school and gettin good grades I don't want to land up doing nth..So I juss wanted to know what major entails a guaranteed job. From ppl I've hrd they say accounting....but I wanna knoe..it's frustrating..

there is no one major that guarantees a job. I have seen smart people with less than professional majors (such as history) get fine jobs and at the same time dumb engineers struggling to get any job. Find out what you want to do in your professional career before you jump into graduate school (with a job-safe major) only to regret 10 years down the line that you absolutely hate your work.

I know dat fact...Absolutely I mean 10 years down da lane I don't wanna hate my job but as of ryte now what matters most is I get a job in the field I majored in. If I don't get a job after my masters there will be no regretting anyways because I won't have a job.: )hahhaa..I should have proposed a more logical question: Rephrasing- Which job will always have a good market?

two field of studies comes in my mind: medicine and engineering

these I believe are amongst stable profession.

one might have to work long hours and tough time but one will have job in your hand. now if one is going to fret over that they will be underpaid blah blah blah then that's a separate thing but one will have JOB (O:

another fact is one might never be richie rich but one will have a decent life. enough to put food in your table.

you might not be able to have a vacation home but you will have roof over your head.

just my 0.02

============
as always
what do i know (O:
