how to disable windows password
hi friends, i am facing a problem. my friend gave me a computer to disable the windows password. but i couldn't. the operating system is windows xp professional. it will be kindly appreciated if somebody help me in this regard
Login using an administrative account. If your friend's account has admin privileges, you are good to go.
1. Click Start
2. In run field type CMD and press enter.
3. In command window, type NET USER to view user names from all the users in the system.
4. In command window, type NET USER USERNAME * and press enter
5. Press enter twice, do not enter anything for password.
6. Congrats, you just removed the password for your friends account.
thanks gajedi.
the main problem is i can't go up to the start menu. before entering the desktop, it asks for the password. and there are only two options, either shut down the computer or enter the correct password.
