I saw a post on telephone cards. I just wanted to share with you all that I've been using REBTEL calling cards for the past two years and I simply love it. If you have friends and relatives in europe then certain countries are free rebtel to rebtel. It is simple, no hassle at all. I am NOT affiliated with Rebtel but just want to share with fellow nepalis that you do not have to dial the pin numbers at all. Calling Nepal is only 25 cents per minute and it is really clear with no echos!! Highly recommend REBTEL

How it works is once you register, you can record upto twenty phone numbers of friends and family and Rebtel will provide you a LOCAL telephone no. for each recorded no. of Nepal. You can save the local number and anytime you want to call that person, all you have to do is dial that local number and voila you're connected!! You can also charge your credit card automatically over the phone. SIMPLE, CONVENIENT AND SUPERB CONNECTION AT REASONABLE RATES!! what more can we ask, right?

Absolutely Dilasha.I feel the same way.i have been using rebtel for a year and i bet u this is the best one i ever used.I would highly recommend to call outside KTM and Mobiles.For Ktm landline,its bit expensive.

Use pingo.com. About 10 cents/min for Kathmandu.

Use Pinpass option in pingo and you don't have to dial the pin number also. It's free option.

Very clear voice. Calls go through in first or second attempt.

pingo doesnt work yaar.. i tried 20 times... to make call and its as if no one is answering phone in nepal.

its very clear... one time i even heard the "khaali sisi puraana kaagaz waala bhaiya in the background!!! " works same way as rebtel i think... may be not the best rate, but who cares, if u get to talk whenever u want and its clear...i call home almost twice a week these days, that way i have short conversations and get quick updates, as opposed to stupid himtel where i'm talking to everyone including my pet trying to finish up the 60 horrible minutes it gives...

btw, if ur seriously considering it lemme know.. they got this referral thing where we both get some bonus balance ;)
