I was driving (learner's permit + a driver beside me, no insurance) my friend's car ( car is insured but my name is not in the policy), i happened to meet an accident (my fault) with a lady (insured, full coverage), police gave me a ticket ( financial responsibility and failure to yield), I called her and she told that her insurance suggested to fix her car, WHAT HAPPENS TO ME? WILL MY FRIEND'S INSURANCE TAKE CARE OF BOTH CARS?  or i should fix both cars? if her insurance pays her, do i need to repay her insurance?

Lot of questions but ...........PLEASE SUGGEST, OR AT LEASE GIVE ME A CONTACT OF ANY ONE WHO HANDLES/MET SUCH CASES...

I think You are safe in a sense you dont need to pay money for your friend and that lady. ( may be deductible  amount you have to pay for your  friend)  . Since you have learner licence and driver besides you ... and car is insured for the driver's name, ..U should be fine.

but wondering who decided  that is your fault ???. Never admit that in the accident even you r in guilty party  . this is a job of insurance agent . they call the both party and decide ...

Luture,

do you know if your friend has full coverage insurance or just liability??? if he has full coverage, his insurance will repair both the cars (your friend's and the lady's cars) and you do not have to pay anyone out of your pocket. But if your friend has only a liability insurance and you are at fault, his insurance will only fix the lady's car and not his car. Your friend will be responsible for fixing his own car (if he has only liability insurance).

Some insurance companies fix cars that meet accidents as long as the car is insured, whereas other insurance companies will fix cars only if the driver on whose name the insurance is valid was driving. So, it really depends on the insurance companies and their insurance policies. If the insurance your friend has does not cover other drivers besides your friend, then they will not fix the lady's car as well.

But since the lady has full coverage she will most probably have it fix with her insurance company if your friend's insurance does not fix her car under the fact that the insured driver was not driving the car when the accident was met. But nothing to worry about. This is not a major case and such things happen when you drive. Be more careful from now onwards.

All the best!
