.I think Maya and her brother are a "combined" superpower. Like "ying-yang". Maya is the evil side and her brother is the good side. They themselves are not evil or good, but their powers are distributed that way.
The story of Peter and Takero Kensei are the main story arcs of this season. So, they are not going to show us immediately what happened to Peter. They will wait until the mid-season to expose the answers.
Also, in the second episode, we see that Takero Kensei (the English dude, not duplicate Kensei- Hiro) regenerates his body cells and heals himself. And, according to Heroes, Takero Kensei lived about 400 years ago. Could he be the ancestor of Claire? Because Claire can heal herself too. She must have got that genes from Kensei.
Also, anyone noticed that Peter, Claire, Nathan (Claire's biological father), and Claire's biological mother are all a single family. Add to this the fact that Takero Kensei and Claire have the same self-healing superpower, and we can fairly assume that this whole super-heroes evolution has one single ancestor: Takero Kensei. Man, that would make Takero Kensei, like the FATHER of Super-heroes. Awesome!
However, in my opinion, there are only 3 good shows on TV now days: Heroes, The Office and Dexter. If anyone asks me, Dexter is my favorite. That show is just way way better than any other shows, period.

Good to see all the Heroes fans :)...I am pretty sure that Claire is a decendent of Takero...if you recall on one of the earlier episodes papa nakamura gave Claira away to Mr. Bennett when she was really young so her family must have connection with the Japanese...I don't know how Peter ended up in a shipping container but it's pretty clear that the Haitian is behing his memory loss...everything will add up soon...can't wait till next Monday...
. I don't see how the Haitian can be behind Peter's memory loss. They were not in contact with one another when the last season ended. Nathan grabbed Peter while he was about to explode and flew towards the sky. Since Peter is now in Ireland, Nathan must have flown somewhere near or in Ireland and left Peter to explode inside that container.
That is why Nathan, back now in NYC, thinks his brother is dead, because he just left him in Ireland to explode. In that time, the Haitian was in Haiti. I don't see how he could erase Peter's memory. UNLESS, Peter acquired the Haitian's power when he was in contact with the Haitian in Texas (while saving the "cheerleader"). Which means, Peter could have erased his own memory because of the tension he was having while he was about to "explode". Maybe he did not explode because he erased his own memory, thus inhibiting his conscious radioactive ability that he acquired from that other crazy radioactive dude.
