Just starting something for Harry Potter fans. Are you excited about the book coming out in 5 days' time? Did you watch the movie HP and the OOTP?
I am going to a midnight party @ my local Barnes and Noble on the 20th to get my preordered copy of the deluxe edition of HP and the Deathly Hallows...
I watched OOTP on Imax and although it didn't do the book justice it was good nonetheless...
If you're not into Harry Potter please don't post anything negative.
Haha. Why are you so worried someone is going to post something bad about Harry Potter? Well anyways I am a HP (as one of my cousins wants to call it) fan too and watched the Order of Phoenix on Friday. I found it better than the last movie outing. Goblet of Fire was an awesome book, but the movie let me down so bad. But this movie was quite good. Enjoyed it a lot.
Have my book pre-ordered from Amazon, hoping to lay hands on it on the 21st :o)
I have not had chance to watch it yet, but I will someday (sequence milnu paryo ni.). I like the story.
I watched it last night on movieforemz.com
its also on nabolister.com
The book is five times better than the Movie and the release of Order of the Phonix went on to show how unjustly a movie could fail to portray the theme of a book, not once but yet again. Harry's rivalry with Draco is no where to be seen as much as the book portrays and that is shocking indeed. I love the books way better and can't wait for the release of the 7th book.
Talking about the Order of the Phoenix again, the book was marvellous and was the 2nd best among the 6 that've been released so far ( with the 6th one being the best of them all ). Is this making me sound like a kid?
I better stop.
harry potter is gonna die, what you guys think about that???
how do i know that??? my friend who works at barnes n nobel told me about it... who cares though coz i don't like harry potter...
he told me that there is a twist that makes the reader say WOW for few hours...
haha. Not again ;) This is the MOST HIGHTLY AWAITED BOOK IN THE HISTORY OF BOOK WRITING and it's not only he, but anyone who's read the Harry Potter books ALREADY knows that there are lots of twists and turns that one could expect
He dies for the right cause... i mean he is just a magician not god...
I can see this discussion heading towards a wrong discussion.
So lets stop.
maybe the twist is that Snape turns out good after all.... but who knows...
I agree with you balbhadra the books have been much better than the movies, but condensing a 600-800 pg book into a 2 hour movie usually doesn't do the book justice. Although I think they did a much better job with OOTp than with Goblet...
I have been following the series since I was in High school. While some people think that it is a "kid's" series, I think it is for everyone... and when someone says that they don't like harry potter I think they just haven't read it..
Hmm! and to think that I assumed this would be a non controversial topic...
wrong direction
make a left at a right turn...
Been following it since grade 8 myself. Read each of them twice so far.
I still can’t accept the fact that Dumbledore died in the last book!!! :( :(
But I am super excited about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows coming out in less than 6 days!! :)
Something tells me that Snape is not really a bad guy.Sure he killed Dumbeldore but I guess it was planned by dumbeldore himself. I believe that Dumbeldore is the 6th Horcrux of Voldemort's soul, and he had to die to kill voldemort's 6th horcrux.
So what do you guys think?
Wow I never thought of Dumbledore as one of the horcruxes, wouldn't that be a twist!! I really hope that the trio make it through the end unharmed. For some reason I think Neville and Hagrid might be the two that JK will kill off!
