starting to get a bit nostalgic. never forget the 3 days of strenuous trip with my grandma upto the mountains. nothing will defeat the emotions that i carried and held during my brief and memorable time there. As proud as the mountains stood, continue to do so, before me and everyone who dared to confront it, i left with a feeling of sheer pride in my head that my dad grew up here and that i am a part of the place where life is in its simplest form and nature in its unbearable and envious beauty. and today upon beholding the video those feelings have been revived again.
thanx a heap for posting the video and good luck.
Sleepy, this is a documentary showing Manang unbiased and as it is thorugh an outsider's (city boy's) viewpoint: The tradition/rituals/customs, the day in the life of average mananges, the scenery and harsh mountaneous landscape, the Annapurna circuit trek, Tilicho Lake (the world's highest fresh-water lake: but the scientific community says its Lake Titicaca (??)), the Thorong Pass and the Narrator's will and perseverence over this harsh terrain. Overall, a great piece of work. A must see for all!
Here's a short and very sweet promo...
Please don't forget to come and make sure you bring a friend or ten, of course, it goes without saying, with you and your own loving family.
