best BME progam is at JHU (needless to say it is highly competitive too) http://www.bme.jhu.edu At The Whitaker Biomedical Engineering Institute, you are competing with pre-med students another good program is at University of Texas at Austin http://www.bme.utexas.edu/ and at University of Maryland, College Park (lots of donations recieved recently for BIOE aka BME department) http://www.bioe.umd.edu/ advice: unless you are a pre-med student, dare to take some electrical engineering courses. i was an EE major at UMCP but took some BME courses.
