*********************************************************************** Himalayan News Service Kathmandu, March 22: Rights activists and civil society members, who visited Gaur today, said people were killed in cold blood in Gaur by criminals hired from outside. Dr Mathura Shrestha, a rights activist and member of the civil society, termed the killings “inhumane and unimaginable.” He claimed that the killers were trained professionals hired from outside. “The heads of the dead were found to have been smashed by bamboo batons,” he told the press. He said six of the 28 dead were the Tarai people while the rest were the hill people. Dr Gauri Shankar Lal, another member of the team, said the 28 people were killed in cold blood. “Locals found that women were first raped and their breasts hacked off during the killing spree.” According to Subodh Pokharel, over 12 people were chased six kilometres from the incident site and slain. “The slayers dragged the people out from where they were hiding and killed them brutally,” he said. He also said the number of the dead may rise. “Some of the bodies are reportedly thrown inside conduits,” he said. He said an injured was beaten up on the premises of a hospital when he disclosed that he held from Makwanpur. “We were told the slayers tried to burn 10 bodies on the road. Police recovered the bodies,” he said. He also informed that two YCL members were found carrying pistols with them, but it has not yet been established who opened fire first. Dr Arjun Karki said the incident could have been averted if the local administration had been attentive. “The locals knew the incident was going to happen but the administration paid no heed to it.” According to him, the SSP tried to contact the chief district officer after the clash, but the latter was unavailable. *********************************************************************** Here is the link: http://www.thehimalayantimes.com/fullstory.asp?filename=aNPata0seqzpa5a1a9a4wa.axamal&folder=aNPataiaoanaaal&Name=National&sImageFileName=&dtSiteDate=20070323 Indian Bastards caused this and it is proven by the Human Rights.

Also from now on the Police as well as army should choose to fight what is beneficial to them and not for the People. Wow, imagine if these people were in the police or military. Man Nepalese calling themselves Gorkhas are just more of cowards and is fake pride. If they are ok with this stuff happening to their own people, I cant imagine if full scale war broke out.

Dear ne23pe, it doesn't matter who killed. All killings are bad. There are no good killings. Are you trying to suggest that had killings been executed by other than hired criminals, it would have been OK for you?

No what I am saying is why is Nepali people ok with Indians coming into Nepali territory and kill Nepali whether its maoist or anyone else, and they are ok with it. Did I write anywhere killing of one is good from another. Also again read the article and see how they were killed and why they were killed? One reason I will give you for the killing was because the guy was from Makwanpur which makes him Pahade.

Another thing I want to mention again is if no one condemns this act or take action for what happened in Gaur then any Indian can come into Nepal and kill Nepali without any fear. Before it was the Indian police and SSB who came to Nepal to torture Nepalese now its Indians themselves. Wow keep up the good work bir Gorkhali. Man Gorkhali is a waste of good word for coward Nepalese who are capable of doing exactly nothing.

still there are some factors, who are in opposition of peace process like king and other mandales. I am 100% sure that king has some involvements with the Gaur massacre. And, the Hindu extremists are playing an important role to disturb peace process and save king. I have seen in SAJHA, there are some MANDALE who are commenting with different SAJHA NAMEs. I don't believe, there are more than 5 mandales in Sajha. And, I guess they should be from rich family and some of them may be from RANA family... danda pani

Dear ne23pe, as I said earlier, this incident must be condemned and wrongdoers must be brought to justice. But, you also have to accept that maoists (here the victims) are the ones, who have been promoting and conducting politics of killings. If maoists try to kill others, what other people will do? Naturally, they will also try to kill maoists. That's what happend here.

I have suspicion that Madhesi forum(fundamentalist) associated with King gyane must have hired the Bloody dirty Indian M(fa)er to kill our innocent nepalese. They are creating havoc so that gyane could survive.

The funny thing is everyone is supporting these Indian Bastards, and even the f**king Indian embassy has nothing to say about this. They know that Nepali people dont care so why waste any words. I would not be surprised if things like this continue to happen in Nepal and it will eventually be Bihari who will run Nepali politics from across the border.

There is weakness in part of Maoists to some extent. Its a grave situation that cross-border elements are trying to create havoc in Nepal. The MJF has indicated that it is a separatist group. Their actions have proven this thing to some extent. I wonder that why they strict to resignation of home minister. They are either working closely with NC-Koirala panel, Royals or hindu extremists of India and Nepal. This incident must be condemned and wrongdoers must be brought to justice.

What we need to do is create a group in around the world like the US, UK, Germany etc... who looks after such matter and inform Nepali people in Nepal and around the globe so that we can collectively find solution or force the govt of Nepal to find a solution otherwise we Nepalese will eventually be run over by these Bihari and no one will be able to do anything even the maoist or the government. Nepali people from Nepal barely have access to media of around the globe but for us we have many access.

The leaders in Nepal cant do anything but complain and say its home minister and blame him for everything. What have they done? Give into the demand of MJF and you will give into to everyone of their demands. Some of these bastard are probably supporting it.

"YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW"....as i said before...this is the culture we have been developing for several years now...Maoist did the same...Royalist did the same...and now others are following the same...before there were news that Maoist mutilated policeman and army which they denied continiously of doing...now their own bastards (MPRF and MRMM are nothing more than bastards of Maoist) ...are follwing their illigitimate parents path.

ne23pe, You right the details are disturbing, sends a chill down a spine, people chased for 6 kilometers before they were murdered, definitely sends a chill down your spine. But before you start blaming the Army, the police and the Indian state for that matter think of our own government. 26 or close to it died during the Madhesi "andolan", the government didn't do anything. Terai bandh for a month, the government didn't do anything. Maoists and other Terai groups beating up, robbing people, it hasn't done anything. The Gaur killing is just a new chapter in the present Government's apathy towards anything that it isn't politically associated. The police and army has been whipped for its role in the royal government, they have been humiliated and shackled. They need a strong government committement before they do anything these days. Sadly, the home ministry seems to be more interested at staying home then anything else. I feel this is just the start, with the government unwilling to do anything, plenty of groups want to protect themselves from retaliation from the Maoists. MPRF has shown how one can hire protection from Bihar. It is sad and I certainly wouldn't hope any other group would follow their path. But I feel this certainly isn't the last time we will see such massacre if the government continues to do nothing.

Firstly I don't trust when it is said that only maoists were killed. Its bullshit. Initial news suggested that there was crossfire and the Morcha itself calimed that most of those who got killed were innocent bystanders. Now maoists are claiming that they were all maoists and trying to do politics over it. Secondly, I don't need to know the manner in which people were killed, neither need to know rumors spread by the so called human right activists who have always been supportive of maoists. Just that so many people were killed is painful enough. Specially when it seems maoists, mjf and local administration all went ahead with their plans despite huge probability of voilence. Punish maoists, Mjf and local administration so that such delibrate voilence is not repeated else where. Lastly, maoists should either be a political party or be terrorist. A political party is not supposed to bully arround other groups using voilence. Maoists have no business to punish either a murderer, or a bad businessman, or a protestor, It is job of nepal police and only of nepal police. And I am sure CA elections will be a sham if maoists don't stop bullying arround. Will maoists accept defeat if they don't get votes? I strongly doubt. Those who believe in power through barrel of gun are always dangerous.

First of all , I am very sad of the this sad news .This is definately not pleasant news for anybody.I condemn this inhuman act. Since Ne23pe has been very old friend and very sad with this news i have couple of things to say to him: 1.What goes around comes around - the 15 years of violence that has seen such brutual acts of maoist and govt. in various part s of the country doesn't teach people to be saints. The struggle of power with help of weapon and winning proves that WEAPONS are more powerful than people voice. 2.Blame Game - No proofs - I admit there can be some royal conspiracies but what makes it joke itself is there is no proofs and cheap and prerecorded statements of Maoist- this is conspiracy of expansionist, royals and people who don't want to see peace 3.Lack of vision of SPAM leaders- Still!!!! - When Nepal was declared Secular without any reason and demands.Instead of following democratic process and going thru refrendum to decide this issue it was forced upon 80% hindu in Nepal. That time i said it has more bad consequence than good. And now we are seeing it.I don't deny the infulence of India.BUt hey, if it wasn't for India would SPAM leaders be able to bark - loktantra and Gantantra??. we are hopeless infront of India nomatter how much you speak against India.India born leaders of Nepal will do no good to Nepal as well. 4.Lonely Force- a Weak Force - Last couple of months have shown that Maoist actually do not hold any grip in Nepalese politics .If they leave weapons , they are nothing.Madesh has shown maoist that they have no power in Terai.Likewise , This force -maoist will at the end remain a gang of looters and dacoits not real political party.Very soon you will see this. 5.Be Fair - When around 30 people were killed in riots in Terai.Who took responsiblity? Did our incapable home minister took it .He should be ashmamed with the security situation in Nepal. You do not have to go to far.Ktm is itself a big example of lawlessness so what do you expect in other parts of country - especially Gaur?So now 30 people from Maoist side are brutally killed .Who is going to take responsibility is there any Leaders with Moral in Nepal?Home minister must be busy drinking red label (filled with blood of Nepalese )with Maoist. Now , there is going to be fairness?Isn't Madeshi life's a life and when a Pahade gets killed only then our pahade homeminister comes out of coma??? 6.Cheap words - Equality, janjati , rights , loktantra , ganantantra , consipracies, expansionist, feudals, and the list goes on...these have become very cheap words in Nepal.Infact points to wonder who made these cheap words and just words??They are suppose to be powerful words .Everyone needs rights and right now so does Madeshi , Tharu, woman, limbu , newar and the list is so long that it will fill whole page. Why blame Madeshi only when they ask for it?it is seperate discussion who fair is this asking and how much but at this time when everyone is drugged with Loktantra why can't madeshi dance in the tunes Maoist taught them?
