sorry i have no idea, i cant evn fix minor computer problems
Kastamandap,
I also had the same problem. Fortunately, mine was under warranty. I sent it back to dell and they said it was related to RAM. Dell geeks say removing the RAM and putting it back in another slot helps. Remove the RAM and put it back in another slot. If all slots are used, interchange the RAMs. Find a geek if this doesn't help.
Once one of my 2003 SBS died with the same error, NTFS got corrupted and only solution was to reinstall OS.
If someone has recovered please do share as "Physical memory dump" error is SOB pain.
Cheers
Option 1.
Boot to the Windows CD and chose "R" for a Repair. This
takes you to a screen that gives you two more choices,
the Recovery Console or a Repair Installation of W2K.
Choose "C" for Recovery Console.
At the Recovery Console prompt, run:
CHKDSK /F /R
Since you're booted off the CD, not the hard drive, it
will run without a reboot.
Reboot to see if this fixed the problem.
Option 2:
Re-install
Good Tip:
After the repair or Re-install, run system state backup.
to avoid this sort of problom in future.
This how you take system state Backup, those of you who doesn’t know.
Start- > Run = "ntbackup"
click on the advance features and go to the tab as shown in the picture below. And Take Only system state backup.
This backup of your registry and windows. NOT the program you have installed or your documents. JUST SYSTEM FILES AND REG FILES.
PS: whatever language the info is in, Windows platform is the same. So no need to freak out of different language menu.
hey hey guys,
i have a problem in my PC.
When i start up PC it shows "NTLDR is missing". I have searched in google and tried to fix the problem but couldnot.
Any idea ??
Run Repair windows with the windows cd, or reinstall.
If you have things that needs to be saved, the boot cd with ERD tools. You can find that in Pirat sites. such as the pirat bay.
Hey gurudev,
I don't have bootable CD of the Window XP. Its Acer and i was told that all wil be internally provided and i don know how to recover it.
So, wondering.
Can i find bootable one..............??
Well then you will have to press one Function key to get into the boot menu.
Between F1 to F12, Just press all at a time when you boot the PC.
It could also be Delete key, or Insert page up / down and so.
Try few keys, and you will either get the boot menu or will boot automatically. If you have the manual, then it is better, or else just try few keys.
Remember This will delete every thing and reinstall you system.
Or else just download windows CD Image from the web (Pirate sites).
Yaame,
Your NTLDR file belong to C:\WINDOWS\I386 folder.
Check ur email its already there ;). Download it and copy paste in to its respective folder.
Reboot ur pc it will definately work.
I just spent $70.00 to fix that NTLDR thing in my computer. I should have posted the problem here.
Damn...those $70.00 gone now........
Hey Miste,
Thank you for the response and file but i couldnot downlaod that one.
The problem in my PC is when i press start button it shows only the message of NTLDR is missing.
As i cannot open other files and folder, then i caanot copy that and paste.
At the moment i cannot donwload the file you provided.
If possible can you zip and send that file again.
Thanks in advance
I thinks all computer engineers are blogging don't know who is the number one. And who is number zero.
Yahoooooo just use ntldr and ntdetect.com files from your XP bootable cd . To copy these you can use the following method.
1) Press R to repair the Windows after booting from the CD
2) After password and other stuff once you are in Windows installation use the following commands to copy these files
copy e:\i386\ntldr c:copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:
assuming your CD drive e: and windows installation drive c:
take out the CD and boot again . It will work
copy e:\i386\ntldr c:
copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:
hey Yahoooooo, just copy the NTLDR file from the pc you are visiting this site.
This is how and where you will find this File. And use the link or comments mantioned above.
