Dear Sadbuttrue, Common man. there's nothing wrong with being alone. I am alone too. I have 4 lovers but I am alone. This is life man. You can get opportunity to understand yourself when you are alone. Education is important but is that useful in life to apply. Sometimes yes but it is all about making money , isn't it? I am an ordinary human being. Please don't think a lot. Time will everything. I was also depressed a lot and confused about life. But again, there's nothing we can change about. Everything thing will be alright one day. I am not sure but one of the reason may be dope for your depression. Have you any thought in this regard? What about limiting the dose? Upto you man. Life is unfair. Take it easy man.

eat some good healthy food...wise people say that the food you eat affects the way you think...if you always feel too lazy to cook, then you have some problem...hmmm...there are many reasons for one to get depressed so get yourself diagnosed if you just can't get over it. if you can't find any reason, see if it's the attitude towards life that needs to be changed...

Sabuttrue: I can understandyour problem to an extent, for I myself went through some kind of depression sometime ago. Somebody here said that the depression is state of mind; I fully agree with him/her. It is what you develop yourself, and now you are attached to it. Not to make what I want to say long, I personally would recommend you meditation. If you can use meditation wisely, it will be the best tool for your depression remedy. There are thousands of meditations. I recommend you Vipassana Meditation which is discovered ( or rediscovered) by Gautam Buddha. It is the purest form of meditation because you will be exploring only yourself and try to "purify" yourself (not any Mantras and asking the "higher authority" for salvation). It is taught literally all over the world. If you are in the US, there are several Vipassana Meditation centers. The website is http://dhamma.org,where you can find the nearest location from you, if you are ever interested. Also, it is free of cost. Good luck!

Dear Sadbuttrue, I went through depression almost a year 6 years ago. I was in very bad shape. I didn't remember the things just said by other people. I didn't even remember the faces of the most people, I talked to. I failed some of the classes. I was too worried all the time about school, paying bills and living alone . I never mentioned my family and friends that I was going through drepssion. When I saw the person worse than me in my workplace. I decided to spend as much time as possible taking with my friends about my problems. After few months, I started feeling better and better. Thesedays, I'm happy most of the time. So, I think you need to stop worrying and share your problems with friends and family. It will definately help you.

Recovering Depression Depression, it’s something all of us experienced in some point and time in our lives, whether for a day or for years. It is one of the most common diseases which can affect a 5th grade boy to 80 yrs old man. There is no age or sex boundary for depression. Most of the people that it affects aren’t even aware of the serious complications depression creates, and if they do, they don’t admit it to themselves. The major cause of depression is psychological, genetic or hereditary. Most of the time depression leads a person to commit suicide. There is help for all kind of depression and ways to overcome it. Medication is one of the options for a person going through depression. A person suffers from depression because he is convinced that everything he cares about is disappointed by him, and there is nobody who loves or cares about him. It’s the responsibility of the people around him to notice the changes. There are many signs when a person is going through depression and trying to commit suicide. Some of them are change in mood, breaking off in love relationship and friendship, drug and alcohol abuse. If somebody is going through depression, than it’s the duty of the family and friends to take him for help. But most importantly, they should make him feel loved and cared. It’s always better to deal with anything as soon as it is revealed. If a person finds out that he is going through depression or something is bothering him, it’s always good to seek for help. There are many medical treatments to overcome depression, but there are a few things that be done by himself before counseling. Work out, exercise, participate in social activities helps to distract the mind. Figuring out the problem that has been disturbing, and concentrating on the good aspect of life helps to improve the mood of depressed person. These will work for some people, but there are many who are seriously depressed and need to seek for medical help. Not everybody feels comfortable talking to a family member about his deepest emotion and that’s when small thing starts bothering him. Hiding things and not letting it out causes serious depression. And that’s why there is a professional help. The professionals like psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers helps in various ways, like talking personally, or arranging a group session. Psychiatrists are the medical doctors who are specialized in treating both emotional and psychological problems. Psychiatrists review the case history of the patient both medically and personally, because it might be the reason of the depression. After analyzing the cause of depression, the psychiatrist starts the treatment as accordingly. The basic concept of the sessions is to understand the feeling of the patient and try to make him overcome it. If the depression is caused by the imbalance in the brain, the patient is given a medical treatment. The other professional who is trained to evaluate people’s emotions, problems, and treatment are psychologists. They are trained to talk to patients in such a way that the patients open their heart and burst all their feelings. They talk to the patient about their life and things going on around them, and help the patient understand the main reason of the problem they are suffering from. The social workers help the people going through problem and who cannot afford the medication or a therapist. They arrange a group session to discuss a problem and provide food, shelter and care to those who need it. All these people help a person to overcome depression and they do their best at it, but it all depends on the person who is going through the entire mental and emotional trauma. It is all a person will to get well or not. If he wants to overcome it he will, but if he doesn’t want to fight back and wants to leave it like that then he won’t be able to recover his depression. It’s that simple, everything depends on the person will, if he wants to have a good day, then he will have a good day, no matter what comes in his way. On the other hand, if a person is not sure and is thinking that he is going to have a bad day he will have a rough day. That’s why all these professional people are there to help overcome the fear, the anxiety and the feelings; because the main reason of depression are the hidden inner feelings and emotions.
