Who is John Galt? :) I have read that book, 2 times over...yes all 1084 pages of it. With a name like that, you have to live up to the standards, dont you?

i do enjoy your writings immensly... but are you for real bro? i smell hypocracy on this one. i mean hey!!! when you are on your 20's all you care for is getting paid and getting laid right? alright, he had couple bad marriages... but he may have learned from the past mistakes... may be they are in love john bro. and that is important... the preity zinta clone you admired when you were kid is in love with this bad @$$ bastard... BIG DEAL!!! may be this time it works. may be she will learn from her mistakes. and when one gets a green card for her mistake... thats a darn good mistake to begin with. there are hundred of thousand of ppl willing to make that mistake. i was kidding. the way we nepali look at sex and marriage scares the crap out of me. and the way we go around trying to protect everyone we know from that devil when it comes to marriage... gee... its their life for christ's sake. she wants to marry him and vice versa, who are we? what am i gonna do tomorrow if my daughter comes with a wanna be rapper, who dresses up like he is gonna drop that pants on one sneeze? i don't see me having much choice john bro!

Very Nice JG! Well written!! Post Script: You haven't seen her since she was 17 right? Might have changed a lot by now... ; We're solely looking at one side of the coin -- Alok has started overnight gambling, parents are aware of it, and mom doesn't hesitate telling a surprise caller about it.. you see -- things change, people change... and you'd never know she might have paved a path in her own way that would parallely run along with Bimal's! Despite their initial cyber encounter (which could be rather charismatic), she must have accepted Bimal's 'Step ahead' attitude -- related talks, and the vibes he would build and share with Megha during the - presumably' hours of word exchanges'! Afterall Bimal can't fake his personality throughout the moments of conversations, till the point when someone would be assured to be safe and secured, and get ready to marry an unacquainted, unseen person! Just my couple cents!! ~@~

Sunny Dev, I quote ur words here" you tried to undo some of the misrepresentations.... I too did that at some point of my life. When your loved one accepts mediocre option, you tend to inflate every trace of desency you can find in it. It's human nature that we think we are the worst we can accept. But there are times when we need to be liberal and lower our standards. When your loved one compromises, you have no choice left...Compromise mannnnn...... " This is exactly wat I felt some 4 years ago and still... when someone I love the most chose someone.......I still remember the things we tried and said against HIM....yeah it has been quite sometime but still every now and then it haunts us....This is how I felt absolutely and later gave up for their love.....

loote, Since you brought up my name, in two threads and that was uncalled for.....I would like to clarify one thing......just carefully read my response to this piece....i told JG that he lives upto the standard the name John Galt warrants. One question though, you do know who John Galt is right? If you didnt u wouldnt understand my response. And while I am at it, I should tell you....everyone is entitled to their personal choice. Maybe I am more partial to Sumoff because he writes fiction, which in my opinion is more challenging...because it requires a hell lot of imagination. But JG is superb....he doesnt need my validation.

nepalonmymind, dude, i know who john galt is. but what's in the nick? if my nick was john nash, do you expect me to invent the "game theory" and prove that adam smith's theory was wrong in sajha? at the risk of sounding judgmental myself, have to say, you sound too judgmental. as much as i adore sum_off's brilliant narration skill, i am quite surprised by the nature of the comments you leave in each of his stories. you must either be really close to him, or know him well and truly for years, perhaps more than sum_off himself. :P just a thought, you are fully entitled to your opinion. i was just kinda shocked by the contrasting comments you left in his thread and in john's. i am sure, everyone in sajha admires john bro's anecdotes as much as sum_off's fictions, perhaps even more :P LooTe PS John bro, sorry for the deviation. could not help it!

RedStone And Loote.. Thanks for the gesture:) Another brilliant writer of Sajah is Lekhak ..we don't see him..the last one about the "Son and father" brought tears to my eyes...hehehe..i am kinda sentimental you know:) Sitara's poems always touch the Star..i am too small to reach it.

I can see now that i have read my posts again.....i can see why loote was disturbed. what i meant was....... JG 'with the kind of nick u have chosen for yourself is it any wonder you live up to his standards.'

Junge, I mentioned Nebraska because he actually went there, it could have been Ohio had he gone there. Further, I never mentioned anything to defame Nebraska. Thanks for visiting. Sndy, This was merely an anecdote written from my own perspective, I live in stone age. Thanks for reading. Riten, I'd be blessed if I had one fourth the narrating acumen sum_off has, same goes with Deep, I could never praise enough his poetries writing prowess. However, I feel honored to be categorized among such stellar members. As far as the fate of Megha goes, it accidentally sounded like a overstatement, i just wanted both people go their own ways. Meera, Such examples are in plenty, I am only bewildered how people limit their foresight of a successful married life to simply coming to America. Thapap, I would not call it a double standard, but it a premature decision when comes to marital affairs. Merely a financial security is too risky a bet to undertake for the entire life thereon. Jawala, I never write fictions, but yes I do not shy away from exaggerations either. Juggy, Thanks for the adulation although undeserved, there are a lot better writers than me. And yes, I do not write fictions, my stories are potpourris of earlier experiences which I put forth with lot of spices. Tyra, Sadly it isn't. Peer around your neighborhood and households, you will find an aspiring Megha everywhere so would be Bimal alike all over United states. Sunnydev, I understand. I really do, but I cannot change myself. Nepalonmymind, Yes, the only best thing in that book was the portrayal of protagonists, although everything seemed to be larger than life. John_Galt was the epitome of perfection when it comes to be a perfect human being. I simply stole this appelation, and I certainly do not live to that standard. Hyaa, Thanks for the detailed reply. But there are few things I'd like to mention, I had witnessed both their upbringings, Megha was just a little girl pampered with parental affections while Bimal was always combative and spewed malice. He might have changed over the years, true, but I could not find anything to corroborate it during our last meeting. Like I said earlier I belong to the stone age where people treasure their moral values. Believe me, my own daughter has already embraced a little bit of hip hop culture, I laugh it off, but yes I always have a right to say I preferred she being a Norah Jones instead. Thanks for visiting. Occult, Thanks, but I but when you'd rate me after you have seen all the talents, I am nowhere in the scale of ten. Sitara, Thanks, I am honored as always. Camoflagged, It is not a fiction, the names are different and it was an old story, but it is for real. Deepjyu, Where were you? I missed you all this time, actually the finishing line implied some other thing I was not aware about, I was so upset with this union that i simply wanted both of them to go their ways, for their own good. Saajha, Truly said, I am amazed by your analytical wisdom which robbed me out of words, but all I have said was a through a bunch of memories which failed to vouchsafe a good relation. Well, as far as the impression Bimal's impression goes, I have encountered multitude of people embrace sobriety with help of prevarication when it comes to woo an opposite sex. Megha might have been an easy victim, with immaculate conversation skills, a hefty bank balance, and the lure of coming to the west easily establishes a strong ground for future relations. But like you said, this could be the flip side of coin too, we are merely debating here aren't we? Lootejyu, Thanks for visiting, but there few values I treasure, which, if does not make me a buddha, certainly does not make me a hypocrite as well. I resent promiscuity, I resent veering from personal goal, I resent marrying only with carnal desires and not with affection. Bimal possessed all those qualities earlier, that led to the differences. I cannot step into Do'sn Juan shoes and think all these issues are cool. On a further note lootejyu, I humbly thank you for your adulation, but I am simply not even half as brilliant as sum_off. Imi, You are right, lekhak justifies his pseudonym, he is one hell of a writer.

Cleopatra, Thanks for visiting. All I have to say is we are simple human beings that are allowed to react and overreact at times. An enmity which has been born out of credible grounds - lingers forever.
