MUSIC-FEST.....less expensive
I see everyone ..complaining about expensive convention every year. Now the tickets are even $35....too high.
Food $18/plate

These are too expensive.
We are planning to do MUSIC -FEST - 10 bands from US(with 1 popular artist/band from Nepal)
Less expensive...tickets and food
Grand prizes for winning band.
may be free or $10 DJ
& $25 concert
LET US KNOW YOUR IDEAS.......WE CAN MOVE FORWARD.
yes bring rock bands for new generation of change
WAHT YOU ALL THINK ABOUT HAVING ENTER-BAND COMPETITION?
WE ARE PLANNING 10 BANDS TO COMPETE. AND WILL BE AWARDED
WAHT WILL BE THE BEST PRICE RANGE FOR BAND-COMPETITION AND NEPAL BAND SHOW?
WAHT PRICE FOR DJ?
$20-25 Dj which includes a beer or drink+ good dj(after party)+concert(music festival).. entry to food festival.
prize for the Band :$3000-$10000. $5000 1st $2000 2nd $1000 3rd. if u have ten .
But if u bring already famous bands are u making them compete with each others??Are these new comers or established bands.
If u guys are trying for new bands then you should have popular bands / singers as guests and .
I am experienced organizer .:)

As u said you are nice Organisor....can u be little open
WE ARE LOOKING FOR PUBLIC VIEWS/COMMENTS AND IDEAS.
10 LOCAL BAND WILL PARTICIPATE...WINNER WILL GET GRAND PRIZE
ONE FAMOUS BAND/ARTIST WILL BE INVITED FROM NEPAL (not to compete)
so it gonna be 3 days function
food ; music & DJ
Ok Saathi,
You need to organize this event along with ANA.. may be for couple of years as to get people used to this event. You have great chance to attract nepalese crowds there and then .Plus the venue should be relatively closer to the ANA conference.
Ok ..i don't know wether it would be nice idea tokeep this as 3 day event on your first trail because of several reasons one being the main one:COST
If you are trying some sort of amature nepalese band competition .there might be couple of techinical issues ..like visa..If you are trying to make already popular band compete.that would be little hard but nevertheless you will get crowd because one of the 10 might be someone's fav.
Your first one day event can be starting around 1 pm because most of the people get at that time after getting drunk all nite on Friday.you can start food festival from 11 if you want and then have band competition. If u have amature bands u need established and real popular band to be guest band to attract people. If you have established band then their should be no problem.
What is the criteria for your local band ??you know.. you can make it competition state wise like ana sporting events so people coming from the state come to see this.
if the competition is over by the 10-11pm you can turn that hall into Dance hall.
do not try to do lot of things in the same time.i mean you can drop idea about 3 days definately + food festival (if not possible).See and feel this year next year make it 2 dayas then 3 you know..
Thank You ImI...........for your suggestion.
Sathi001...How about re uniting "Rock Kids"?? Haven't heard that old song : "Sapana ho ki Bipana..Maile yo bujhnai sakina..."
:-)>
hi CaMoFLaGeD ....u remind me my very old song. thank you ...you still remember that old song. Yea re-unite of old OKELY would be nice...but even don't know where all my band members are...some in India- some in Arab.
But if we organise this FEST. we might be able to sing for you. Thank You.
PLEASE KEEP SENDING YOUR FEEDBACK
ANISH DAAI how about “ GHUNGURU KI TARHAA…..†I’d heard you singing that song somewhere. it was so nice . Could you plez.sing that song for us if you be able to organize that music fest ?
Yaa Sathi001,
This is one of those beautiful songs that reminds me my childhood. I love your first okely song "Okely oh! timi nai ho tyo!!"
And in the song "Sapana ho ki bipana..." I love the way you say "...amrita ko koseli bhanera..." Heard that the lyricist had something to do with this name by that time...lol!!
wow!! those days.
CaMoFLaGeD - are you really old? :S :S
ha ha ha!! Nails,
I remember everything that I admired when I was a child.
Well..yes compared to your age, I guess.
:-)>
it is not about Anish or Okely.........we just want nice MUSIC-FEST
Sathi.. Great Idea...Good Start..
We all are exhausted with this hyper capitalist idea of making money by ANA from poor Nepali without good service. Look at the cost associated from individual?? Do we really need 5 ***** hotels and big cities to conduct these type of events??Keeping in mind that young generation had made ANA convention successfull, I have some suggestions for you:
1. Plan these events on some sort of Resort, where everyone can enjoy music.
2. Food festival would be good idea along with concert. Food is always big problem in ANA.
3. Try to combine with Nepali Film Festival as a filler, if possible.
4. Arrange some sort of gettogether for "RETURN PEACE CORPS VOLUNTEER" from Nepal(there are lots of American who had done research on Nepali Music).
5. Lets not concentrate to accomodate Nepalis from all state. 6-7 hrs driving distance will save air fare.
6. Try to make event on long weekends. So that no rush.
Wish you good luck .... more to follow.....
how about "The Shadows" Rock band from nepal.
I have seen most of our nepali girls like to dance....and i have seen specially kids born here have participate in many cultural nepali dance.........
WHAT ABOUT DANCE COMPETITION & DJ for 1 day
AND CONCERT THE OTHER DAY
WINNERS ofr both events will be awarded.
PLEASE SEND YOUR COMMENTS.
Great idea!!Again.. my advice.. don't try to jump into too many things at once .. for the first time..
Ideas are always there but to make that idea successful it takes lot of effort.See , this from all angles and effort required. If you or your organizing group can market all this .. ok fine..
Thank You for all these great suggestions.
PLease donot stop your new ideas....we always WELCOME them
