Probably Indian bhauns. How typical. They sell their wives and daughters and also children for sex! " New Delhi—Some husbands in western India are renting out their wives to other men, cashing in on a shortage of single women available for marriage, according to a news report Monday. Atta Prajapati, a farm worker who lives in Gujarat state, leases out his wife Laxmi to a wealthy landowner for $175 US a month, the Times of India reported, citing unidentified police officials. A farm worker earns a monthly minimum wage of around $22. Laxmi is expected to live with the man, look after him and his house, and have sex with him, the report said. The Times said this was not an isolated incident in the western state, and that several men rent their wives to other men on a month-by-month basis. Gujarat officials were unwilling to comment on the report when contacted Monday by The Associated Press. The male-female ratio is becoming increasing skewed across India because many parents abort female fetuses, preferring sons to daughters. {snip} The nationwide number of girls per 1,000 boys declined from 945 in1991 to 927 in 2001, according to the 2001 national census. But in wealthy Gujarat state, the census showed 828 females for every1,000 males, although officials say the number could be as low as 700 girls per 1,000 boys in parts of the state"

This has a lot to do with hindus. i mean these hindu bhaunsworship rats dogs crows and cows and want us to do same thing! They also drink cow urine and also use cowdung to plaster their home. Of course they sell their wives and daughters. This is typical of Indian bhauns and Nepali too. These rat worshippers also control Nepal. We should kick them and send to India where they can worship snakes rats all they want.

"We should kick them and send to India". And who exactly are these "WE"??? If that "we" means some people like you whose action so far has EXCLUSIVELY been blaming others(bahuns to be specific) for every little thing that goes wrong in your lives, then man you gotta keep waiting FOREVER........ It could be easy for you to kick people out in your La La land, but not in this world... So darling, stop dreaming, come back to reality, drink two cups of milk everyday and work hard enough to accomplish your mission... Stop whining!!! Good luck humanitarian!!!

With utmost respect, I would like to correct Time Traveller on one of his statements above. He said, "buddhist china under communism has killed THOUSANDS OF falung gong supporters...." China is not a buddhist nation. Some dynasties, back centuries ago, might have made Buddhism a national religion, but China as we know it, which persecutes Faulun Gong practitioners is NOT Buddhist. And that is not my opinion, it is a fact. Communist China is secular and actually leans more towards atheism. Communist Chinese have the tradition of following confucionism and taoism, but not Buddhism as we know it. Au contraire, China has been known to be anti-Buddhist, as blatantly displayed by the decades of massacre of Buddhist Tibetans, plus demolition and desecration of Buddhist monasteries.

And before we villify Gujuratis, let us look among our own. There is a certain sub-culture within our Nepali society in which the whole caste and villages have made it their time honored profession to be prostitutes. They have done it for generations and continue doing so. This is by choice to a certain degree. The choice coerced by devastating poverty. Thousands of our Nepali cheli-betis get sold to brothels in India. Believe it or not, in most cases, the sellers are our very own Nepali brothers. These Nepali families hail from Hindus, Buddhist and other religions. The religion is not what concerns these people. It is the poverty.

And just a note on aside. The only people I know who refer to hindus as HINDOOS are Pakistani muslims. So, I wonder if this guy who oxymoronically calls himself Humanitarian is actually a Paki musaltey or a wannabe.

Humanitarian bro.. here is how ignorant you are... First selling wives has got some moral issues...it does not come with what you were born as and second...Prajapati - is a farmer in india , in nepal Prajapati does not equal bahun.. it equals newars (farmers). man to blame this on hinduism and bahuns.. you are really ignorant. I pity you just like I pity the guy who is doing that business.. he is nothing but a pimp

Everybody knows there is caste problem in nepali society. So instead of trying to solve the problem, I don't understand why you guys are trying to make it more prevalent....cursing on other caste doesn't solve the problem...got it?

Caste is not a problem.. problem is people making caste a problem. Being in a country where there isnt enough to feed people but enough to spend on fighting about caste is a problem. Why dont people talk about getting project that will benefit nepal? why impose that if it is someone selling wives it must be a bahun and a hindu?

Yes it is true report. Inside Nepal. In Nepalgunj, family force to their daughter becomes a prostitute. When customer comes to their home, parents and family are happy to take money and let them have sex with their daughter. It is like family business. Does any Nepali know about it? It has been 4 decades, neither any Nepalese political Leaders, city mayors, humanitarian workers have been work toward these problem in Nepalgunj, Nor any Nepalese and government.

caste IS a problem. Meaning of caste in dictionary: # Any of the hereditary, endogamous social classes or subclasses of traditional Hindu society, stratified according to Hindu ritual purity, especially the Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaisya, and Sudra castes. # A social class separated from others by distinctions of hereditary rank, profession, or wealth. # 1. A social system or the principle of grading society based on castes. 2. The social position or status conferred by a system based on castes: lose caste by doing work beneath one's station. where are 'last name' is not..
