Brazil...Brazil...Brazil...I am sick and tired of hearing Brazil's name being chanted all the time everywhere..If you don't particularly follow any team or know much about Football, you like Brazil.....To be perfectly honest, I think Brazil is extremely overrated coming into this world cup..Yeah they are the defending champs, but in 2002 Brazil didn't really play any elite team including an average German squad in the finals that were playing without Michael Ballack. Another thing I notice is that Brazil always seems to be in an easier group than lets say Argentina or England, who for the second straight world cup are in a tough group. After watching their lack luster performance against Croatia who should have at least equalized, I am further convinced of Brazil being a team not as good as advertised. Ronaldo is done, and teams are going to use Croatia's strategy of neutralizing Ronaldinho and attacking an overly aggresive and too often an undisciplined Brazilian back line.Kaka, however is a player to watch. There are so many good teams in this world cup and all we hear is Brazil. If I am a brazil fan, I am not looking forward to playing either the Czech Republic or Italy in the second round. Either one of those teams are more than capable of knocking them out of the tournament. I don't think Brazil wants to play the Czechs. Nedved could be the player of the tournament and if Milan Baros and koller return to form, they are dangerous. Spain can beat Brazil also. This time it will be tough for the lunatic brasillia.

M5, Whether this world cup or any other world cups, to say Brasil an overrated team is an absolute blunder, you know? The reason behind this is, 1. Brasil is the only team to play in all the world cups. 2. They are the finalists of the last three tournaments. 3. There is always not only one, but at least two or more players who are praised for their individual talents and considered the best. 4. Every country fears when they face Brasil. 5. They have always since 1930, been favorite to win the cup. 6. Last but not least, the highest number of fans any country ever have outside their territory is undoubtly, Brasil, including myself. And man, if you think Germany is an average team, who do you think are Brasil's rival, if you are talking about luck, I can bet on Korea too. Of course Czechs and Spainards have the potential but when it comes to winning the game. Everybody have already seen their cold feets in the past. Most of all, these Argentinians suck. That is the team I hate the most. They always loose and just keep whinning. The last goal that was given to them against Ivory Coast was a clear offside, it would have been a draw. An african team can kick their a$$, you know. So finally, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL, for BRRRRRAAAAASSSSSIIIIIIILLLLLLLL. Sahila.

That was an average German squad that played in 2002. All football pundits would agree with that. If you look at Brazil's path to the last three Finals, it has come with victories against weaker opposition. In fact in 1998, another overrated Brazil team should have been beaten by the Dutch in the semifinals, but Brazil got lucky. That luck didn't last very long as they were annihilated by France. In 2002, Brazil beat teams like Belgium and Turkey to reach the Finals. The only decent opponent they faced was England, who squandered an early lead and beat themselves. The German team in 2006 looks a lot stronger, and Brazil has fared poorly in World Cups played in European Soil. WRITE THIS DOWN: BRAZIL WILL LOSE!!! IT COULD COME AS EARLY AS THE SECOND ROUND AGAINST ITALY OR THE CZECHS, OR IN THE QUARTER FINALS, POSSIBLY AGAINST SPAIN!!!

The most overrated team is team USA. Keep counting, so far it is 3-0 against them. By the time they are out of the World Cup it will be 12-0 againt them. I cannot wait to see game against Italy and Ghana.

Nepesahila wrote "The last goal that was given to them against Ivory Coast was a clear offside, it would have been a draw" I don't know if you play football or not, but that was not even close to be called for offside. You need to know some football rules before you make your statement. On that play the ball was not intended to the player who was offside. That’s how the Argent design their play. The person who scored the goal came running from the back and the person who actually was in the off-side position went towards left.

Brazil has not won world cup in europe for fifty years. And looking at this team i dont think it would be any different. For me the semifinal between Czech republc and italy will decide the winner of this world cup.

I agree here. I think Brazil is way overrated. And against a better Croatian, they looked lucklustre and completely lacking in ideas. Ronaldo was pathetic at best and had it not been a scintillating goal in the brink of half time by Kaka, I think they would been a complete disaster. Croatian on the other hand had their homeworks done. They played particularly welll in defense and were looking dangerous everytime they countered. They should have scored atleast one. I mean what in the world was Ronaldo doing sitting their and not running? Where is the forward run by a centre forward of the quality of Ronaldo. If he was unfit why play him. Brazil is not short of strikers for god sake. And I read some magazines where they were saying Ronaldo plays like that. Stop it for heaven's sake. This is the biggest occassion and the biggest sporting event in the history. See how Rooney played today, chasing balls that was out of reach, giving defenders no easy chances to clear and coming back and helping the midfield out. I think Rooney and the subs were the difference for England today. Yes, Brazil seems to be in easier group playing weaker sides, but its the draw and there is no Brazilian fault involved. But they will have a tougher time advancing this time. And by the way, where are the Oranje Armies here in Sajha? No Holland fans. Common guys, lets root for Holland. Don't rule them out, COZ HERE COMES THE ORANJE.
