Hey Does anyone know why it is taking so much time for mails from Hotmail or Yahoo to appear... Since past few days I have been tracking it, if you email to either of mail sites it takes hours for before the mail shows up. I have tried sending mail to myself and have observed the same.... any thoughts....

well, since nobody seems to want to help, i logged on to my wife's hotmail (to help someone else's wife, perhaps!) and was able to view the headers easily... Inside Hotmail, go to Options then Mail Display Settings then set "Message Headers" to Advanced. then say OK. then log out, then log back in. then open a message. you should see the stuff.

Hmm AX, I thought you were looking for a job for me. Afu ta Jobless ani halchalai HOPELESS, k ko Sr. NW Admin ko job paunu. Keep looking a job for me.. Akriti, i aint trying to grab your job, rather i aint got that "QUALIFICATION" to be in your place, prolly, as KALANKISTHAN said, i might hardly fit in for Jr. NW Admin, that too if i take a "TECHNICAL TRAINING" on the matter. CHILL OUT.

"I'd never give my pswd to my husband" Well the truth is that my wife doesnt know I know her Hotmail password :-) But I don't tell her either coz it's kinda fun to read her emails about me to/from her friends... ;-) On the other hand, I log on once a couple days and remove the junk mails from her Inbox. And she thinks that she never receives any junk mail. :-) So it's working out for both... ;)

A HUGE CAVEAT to FEMALES: Those of you who are dating, married or for that matter have someone who is a computer geek that shows your some "extra" positive vibes: BECAREFUL. They always seem to "use" their expertise to have a "dekho" in their better half''s emails. I have this friend, and she once told me how her husband used to check her emails and later when she found out they had this huge argument. I guess she was receiving some girly information of her friends and he actually came and said she should not have a friend like that re. LOL. She was like how do you know she did this? O' ooo hahaha. :) She was not pissed because he read her emails;that was fine. Her argument was HE was violating her friend's privacy as well. All she wanted was him to tell her so that she can tell her intimate friends that her husband has her password and if there are any personal issues which she has reservations divulging, she should consider it beforehand. I could see her point. Sano tino mahabharat bhayera ahile feri prem milan ma chan dui jana. Kaha yesto majja ko kura ma yesto kura bhani ra hola maile. But ladies, or for that matter gents, please be cautious. I would NEVER do that. (becasue I do not have the expertise :p) So all the beautiful females please send your emails. Or take mine. 911@naive.com Re kya;) IndisGuise:)

Indie, Yeah, I admit I'm being kinda evil (by some standards)... But what would you do if your Instant Messenger list all of a sudden had only 20 people, with all 'suspicions' and 'unfamiliar' girl-sounding names gone? ;-) Well, add them back one at a time, I guess? :-( But my wife is so cool... we never argue over the email stuff... ;-) our understanding is far beyond the reach of these trivial matters. nepali girls (and us guys too!) are prolly the best in the world! :-)

Hahahahaha. All's good in a blissful time. She deletes all the "suspicious" and girly names from msn, and guy manages to go thru the emails. Actually, this is a sign of a very very healthy conjugal bliss. Hehe , nah I mean it, really. Now I really need to learn few stuffs from you on how to make our spouse cool ;). Uuta chautari ma bhetinda guff gaaf garamla ni yesko bissayema. 20 people in msn? I do not even have 20 in my msn and I am not even married. So would I have 2 when i would be? That too, one would be of my mom and another of my wife herself? :O Arrrghhhhhhhhhh, does not sound appealing to me. Dhet!! :( Sochdai dikka lagi sakyo ahile nai :P IndisGuise:)

less than 20 for someone well over 20? hmm....that sounds a bit slow :-p not sure if your wife will find it even worthwhile to talk you into revealing your password... ;-) In my heyday, i prolly had several dozen buddies across various IM services... but I guess there comes a time when every guy has to move on? so i guess you're doing the right thing by keeping it low to begin with...

DCKeta, I'm not a network guy by profession but here's what i have to say: Your netstat dump may not be reflective of the MGRT graph you posted... The dump doesn't really show much bandwidth intensive connections established...(unless you're uploading or downloading a large file, in which case even port 80 could take up lotsa bandwidth)... This sounds kinda fishy but it shouldn't even use your network card since it should really use the loopback channel: TCP 127.0.0.1:3983 127.0.0.1:3984 ESTABLISHED TCP 127.0.0.1:3984 127.0.0.1:3983 ESTABLISHED does your MGRT graph also include the local loopback? I'd also examine the CRT sessions since they appear to have been tunneled over port 22?...there's certainly some overhead... like i said, i don't practice networking... speaking pretty much based on the theoretical training and some personal experience... so i could be wrong. why don't you start a new thread with an appropriate topic so that it may draw an expert's attention?
