So, US just can?t keep their hands off other country?s internal affair. Now they have joined India to create a self-righteous team to decided Nepal?s bhagya. And again, Hail to our good old politicians, and the Nepalese people who are being used as carpet to wipe off Indian and American feet. US working with India for common vision on Nepal: Moriarty http://www.nepalnews.com/archive/2005/nov/nov17/news15.php US ambassador to Nepal, James F. Moriarty, has said the US government is working with the Indian government to forge a common vision ?to help restore peace, prosperity and democracy? in Nepal. ?The United States and India share a common goal for Nepal - to help it restore peace, prosperity, and democracy for the Nepalese people. Because of this goal, I have come here for two days to meet with colleagues in the US Embassy and officials in the Indian government,? Moriarty said in a statement, which was distributed at a press conference he organised in New Delhi on Thursday. He added that his visit to the Indian capital, which coincides with the string of visits there of Nepali opposition political leaders, was part of the ?latest series of discussions with Indian government officials on the situation and developments in Nepal.? Such regular diplomatic exchanges help coordinate efforts where practicable to support our similar vision for Nepal, the US envoy said informing that he met with Indian Foreign Secretary Shyam Saran, among others, in Delhi. ?We discussed the continued need for the King to reach out to the political parties to find an effective way to work toward restoring democracy and to address the threat of the Maoist insurgency.? Saying that the discussion with Saran was friendly and constructive, and that both expressed ?broad agreement on the way forward on Nepal?, the US envoy said in his statement, ?I told him that the United States welcomes attempts by Nepal's political parties to convince the insurgents to rejoin the political mainstream.? He added, ?I noted that the political parties have publicly ruled out any formal relationship with the insurgents, unless and until the Maoists firmly renounce violence, put down their weapons, and commit to supporting the democratic process.? The series of political visits to India, accompanied by the visits of US and Indian envoys, come at a time when seven opposition parties are talking about negotiations with the Maoists to bring them to the political mainstream. Including Nepali Congress president Girija Prasad Koirala, CPN (UML) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal, People?s Front Nepal chairman Amik Sherchan, general secretary of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi), Hridayesh Tripathi, and few other leaders are busy in parleys with various sides in New Delhi. nepalnews.com mk Nov 17 05

Dalli Resham, Could you please elaborate why making Nepal US's military base would be good? Nepal should never be any country's military base. And regarding US, to start an illegal, misinformed, misjudged war, I would give it a big NO.

US has military bases in so many country such as Japan, S. Korea, Italy, UK, Turkey, Israel, Germany and so many other country and not all of them are to fight with the same country. They have good and bad reason for it like everything else has bad and good point.

There is rumor in thamel that MK Nepal went to India to get a check up on his erection problems. He had been assured by the doctors in Delhi that he should go back and try again and it will surely happen. He came to Nepal tried it, but still couldn't get an erection so he immediately left for India. In his own words, " we don't have to go to india to meet maoists; we can f**k them anywhere in Nepal , but first we need an erection, and that is what I went to india for" he said with a cunning smile. Indeed the media is censored these days. We only get half the quote.
