............For a man of his age, fifty-two, divorced, he has, to his mind, solved the problem of sex rather well. On Thursday afternoon he drives to Green Point. Punctually at 2 pm he presses the buzzer at the entrance to Windsor Mantions, speaks his name, and enters. Waiting for him at the door of No. 113 is Soraya. He goes straight through to the bedroom, which is pleasant-smelling and softly lit, and undress. Soraya emerges from the bathroom, drops her robe, and slides into bed beside him. 'Have you missed me?' she asks. 'I miss you all the time,' he replies. He strokes her honey-brown body, unmarked by the sun; he stretches her out, kisses her breasts; they make love.'...........................
If you are telling what the hell all this is about, then it's an extract from a novel that I am reading at the moment! Sounds nice book, ya? It's nice, cause it's full of beautiful romantic words and to make that better, the words really exhilarate people like me. This book is called DISGRACE by J M Coetzee. I recommend you to read if you have time. I am quite free to go about and explore things these days.................in Kathmandu. See what comes next! Unexpected, I don't expect to meet.
Kusum,
Have read the book. Such an illuminating read. He won the Booker Man prize (the British equivalent of Nobel/Pulitzer prize for lit) a few years back for that book in case you didn't know. Like his fellow South African - Nadine Gordimer. Worth a try if you have not read her already. Espcecially her short stories.
Happy reading.
