Well, I know people celebrate B'Day at all ages - they say, in Newari culture, the second birthday celebration has some cultural significance. I just heard it once and was wondering if somoene out there know anything about it. As far as I heard, they do 'Yomai' pooja and etc.

I know this is a tradition in Newar culture to celebrate 2nd (and 4th birthdays). the child has survived two years and live and kicking; it results in less loss of expenses in case the child dies earlier. The likelihood of a 2-year-old to survive is higher than a one-year-old, this prospect of a long-life probably hs to do something, just guessing!
