Elderly parents travelling to US (any suggestions besides Special Assistance)?
Friends,
What have some of you done for your really elderly parents or grand-parents travelling all by themselves. My parents have mobility issues so planning to request special assistance during ticket purchase but they also do not speak any English. Are there anything else some of you experienced folks suggest? They would love to have some company. Travel date is around June 18-19 of this year to Dulles or JFK.
Any help and suggestion appreciated.
I think requesting wheelchair assistance would help with the issue because the airline has designated people to help with the whole process even if they don’t speak English.
Yeah, that's what I did for now. Hopefully it works out well.
Another question: is there any other additional documents that elderly parents need to furnish at the Port of Entry (JFK), besides the Passport with Visa and their child's home address & phone number?
