Trump is NOT a controlled opposition at all.

#1 Controlled opposition don't get hit with the most serious of all charges for particular crimes. Those charges against him are the most serious types among ones faced by all his minions.

#2 Controlled opposition don't get hit with the most number charges for particular crimes. 91 charges against Trump is the most number of charges faced by any of his minions. Together, these charges would equal to more than 700 years in prison for Trump if he is convicted of all charges.

#3 Controlled opposition don't get to continue to fight in court against the deep state. They simply get a plea deal to become the deep state's witness/snitch against some bigger fish. There is no bigger fish than Trump here.

Unlike Trump, controlled opposition might get such a sweet heart deal from the deep state for becoming the deep state's witness/snitch against some bigger fish that they (in some cases) might not have spend a single day in prison after getting a plea deal.

What controlled opposition looks like is even after being prosecuted and put under negative scrutiny and propaganda for 6 years, Trump is still out of jail alive and kicking.

What controlled opposition looks like is when establishment with trillions of dollars resources and resources enough to overthrow foreign governments and kill foreign dictators, keeps using the same boogeyman trump to rile up hate among their clueless followers.

What controlled opposition looks like is when, like you said he gets hits with charges after charges and indictment after indictments and yet he comes out unscathed and still stronger than ever.

#1 Trump was never charged with criminal charges in his entire life...until April of this year. Get used to it.

This shows how out of touch you are with reality. The way the whole MSM ganged up on Trump was unprecedented. Ever since he took office, the entire force of MSM except Fox spend majority of their time lambasting Trump. 24/7 there was propaganda against him.
