Wow what a great news for all of us ,
This is giving some people false hope that will come down crashing in a while.
Congress members can introduce all kinds of bills in Congress. That does not mean these bills would sail through both chambers (House and Senate) and get president's signature to become law of the land.

I agree with Khaobaadi_Netaa. The chances of this bill passing the Republican-controlled House are zero. Even if the house is flipped in 2024, there aren't and won't be enough votes in the Senate to overcome a filibuster by the Senate Republicans.
People should instead seek other paths to residency, such as through employment-based adjustment, while their TPS is still valid. If applying under employment-based preference categories, people with some unlawful presence can get a 245(k) waiver of inadmissibility. Family-based through US citizen spouse is the best path if you have a US citizen boyfriend/girlfriend.
The Dream Act was originally introduced in 2001, and 22 years later, it is nowhere close to becoming law though it has more support than any other immigration bill. It's good to be optimistic, but the Dignity Act is going nowhere for a long time, if ever.
Oh, i thought it was already a passed bill and even celebrated. If this is just a proposed bill introduced by a random congressman , chances to pass is near to zero in republican controled battlefield.
This is not going to happen. This is bound to die like many other n number of bills that they keep proposing but would not materialize. Some that keep coming to my mind.....Registry Bill (that I had so high hopes on...), America's Children Act (for those kids of H1 B visa holders who are now aging out...) etc....They should stop playing this game really!!
What more to talk when they are not even able to pass that student loan forgiveness plan that was publicized heavily. Just goes on to show how weak and spineless the president is in this country...I saw the same thing happening in Obama's time as well, so I am never hopeful about all these tall announcements that these so called "biggies" keep making, just to get some extra voters when the election is impending? After Clinton, no other president has been able to execute any concrete immigration reform in this country...One will die waiting.
