Just wondering what documents parents need for visitor visa applucation nowadays. They have got multiple entry visa two times in past years. Not eligible for renewal.
1)Bank balance from them if possible statement as proof they have money to travel.
2) As well as a salary statement from your working organization. Just to let the officer know you can afford to keep them just in case.
3)Invitation letter and better reason.
4)A return flight ticket would be a better option.
5)Your sponsor letter for the Consulate officer
The last and most important thing is patience in waiting for a visa interview as there is no clue when the visa interview date is going to take place in the next 2 years.
Other things like 160$ as visa interview fee.
Contact me for making a bank balance certificate and filling up DS 160 and regarding a sample of the sponsor document.
Hi xkabrepalanchok,
Abit confused about the following documents. How to prepare (or find) them
3)Invitation letter and better reason.
5)Your sponsor letter for the Consulate officer
Evin, I can describe the following briefly.
- Invitation letter and better reason:
Invitation letter from the sponsor which could be graduation letter if the intended reason is graduation just as an example. It is simply a letter stating the reason for a visit to USA.
- Your sponsor letter for the Consulate officer:
Sponsor letter from the primary sponsor which could potentially indicate taking responsibility of living expenses or traveling expenses(if any) to the visitor trying to visit. This letter can be written to the consulate officer explaining to bear the expenses while the visitors are in USA.
Hope this helps.
Are all those document needed for renewal of visa for someone who got five years visa two times in past and visited USA?
Yes, even for interview waivers I am hearing a couple of them are asked to show bank statements issuing pink paper indicating 221g reason related to administrative processing. It's a trap don't return to Nepal unless necessary.
@Euta_nepali. Do you have any recent updates on your parent's case ? I am also in a similar situation. Parents had B2 visitor visa for 10 years. Last time renewal was through drop box but since they had extended their stay in US during COVID, they didn't qualify for drop box this time. My parents have their interview appointment next month and wanted to know if there any certain documents that we need to provide. Appreciate it.
@Bikram Gurung, I haven't applied for my parents yet. They are in 80s, and still pondering if I should have them apply for visitor visa or not.
WIth resepect to yours, it would be safe to take some documents such as property information, latest bank balance statement etc. in case if they ask.
I would also send a letter from you explaining the intention of visit, and financial support documents (Affidavit of Support), and your bank statements.
If they already got 10 years visa and were here before and they went back, my expectation is that consular would not be asking for much info.
It's solely based on the application and the interview. In fact, a few years ago, USEM Ktm had explicitly said not to bring any letter of invitation or financial/property documents for visas like B2. Not sure if it has changed now.
You should note that the current wait time for B2 interview appointment is more than a year.

For some reason I also think so Ark, given that they dont ask any such documents for student visa now. But I was not 100 percent sure.
