It seems that a lot of people want to help their communities. There are a whooping 144,000 candidates registered for the local polls in Nepal. It makes me hopeful about political future of Nepal. 🤟

“ It seems that a lot of people want to help their communities” LOL sure. Politician is the most successful and lucrative career in Nepal and easiest path to enter into a millionaire club. I just wish entire 3 crore nepalese involve in politics and everyone gets into a millionaire club. LOL

Political consulting could become a career path for some individuals to help run political campaigns regardless it's at local level or at national level.

@sajhamitra Hopefully they help the community while helping themselves.

Apparently, the most famous candidate is this rapper "Balen Shah" who is running for mayor of the Kathmandu municipality. One of my wife's aunt in late 40s said that this morning and she also added that he will win the election which I doubt. In my view, the majority of voters are older people 40 and above, and most of them hadn't heard about Balen Shah before this. He may be famous with the young people, but they are not the majority voters.

What do people, especially above 40, in sajha think of him as candidate? Would you have voted for him?
