Adhikar.org spreading lies that TPS Nepali Citizen are NOT welcome in Nepal
All Nepalese TPS holders in the USA are Nepalese Citizens. They carry Nepalese Passport.
If Nepalese TPS holders get Green Cards, they will travel to NEPAL first. No Doubt about it.
So why Adhikar is tweeting few mins ago. They said "Nepal isn't safe for anyone to return" that is a bold statement.
I have contacted the Embassy of Nepal in Washington DC to find out why there is no statement/ notice on the Embassy websites regarding Nepalese Citizens travelling to Nepal. They have informed Ambassador Khatiwada regarding this tweet.

I am just wondering how much sexy in sari loves Nepal. How many times he might have travelled back to Nepal and how many social works he might have done. He must have donated a lot of money to earthquake victims in 2015 in fact he might have gone to Nepal to help devastating houses and victims recover. Not only report to the ambassador but I believe you should also report to the president, parliament and all those netas of Nepal about the fact why you are still in United States and why you are not in Nepal. I know he is trolling but what kind of asshole trolls about a topic which is affecting our livelihood and causing daily anxiety and depression etc for his fellow countrypeople. Only person who hates their life and themselves projects this kind of bad vibes for other people. 🖕

Saying Nepal is not safe to return is a bit extreme. I am sure people in american embassy know what the situation is.
Agree with ehho2 and independent. Isn’t there a better way to ask to continue tps than humiliate Nepal and Nepalese?
COVID 19 surge is not just in Nepal it is almost everywhere now with delta variant.
Political violence: other than parties breaking apart due to the ego of those same old leaders, haven’t really seen political violence lately. Nepal even survived those Maoist years
Catastrophic flooding: agree with the flooding but this happens every few years at different parts of the country
Human rights violations: This is vague. I am sure there are but how is it different than 5 years back or 10 years back? A lot more human rights violations happened during Maoist times.
I see Adhikaar has a lot of highly capable people in the leadership role. Aren’t there better and more truthful way to make the case to help TPS holders?

I fully advocate TPS for Nepalese but I am afraid that the tactics used by Adhikaar may not work as it is simply not true.
If I hire a lawyer to represent me to save me from a criminal trial, it would be in my best interest if the lawyer did not make up false statements that are outright wrong to prove me innocent. The court will never be convinced with statements like that.
In the same way Adhikaar is representing thousands of Nepalese and if they make false statements like that, the chances of getting TPS extended or getting legal green card will be reduced because of Adhikaar's wrong move. There are millions of people living in Nepal right now and thousands of people travelling everyday back and forth to Nepal. So it seems just plain false to say that Nepal is not safe to return.
Can adhikaar come up with something more believable and impactful than such half ass statement??

About the ‘points’ put forward by Addhikar I guess most of points are true . I mean someone’s lie is someone’s truth and vice verse let’s not forget.
And yes Adhikaar is an agency which has to sell some ‘truth’ and some ‘lies’ to be in relevance .

Forget about Nepal, even rich countries have deals with the US to get some kind of special agreements to let in their citizens to work in USA. The way I see it: one of the point of TPS was to help Nepal so that Nepalese in USA can send some remittance back to Nepal which will help in Nepal’s recovery. From personal level, I can say that my ancestral home in Nepal was damaged and has not been fit to live in, and so my parents have been living in rental since last 5 years. TPS has been really helpful to me to hold steady job in USA and help out my parents. There is no shame in utilizing TPS; it is a gift from America to Nepal and its foreign policy tool. I know several people from rich Europeans countries who are fighting tooth and nails using some visa status not so different from TPS to stay in this country. Adhikaar is fighting like hell to renew TPS and give us green card pathway. From my pov, the end justifies the means. I don’t care about the minor nitty gritty of the tactic they are using as long it helps me and my Nepali friends. And let’s face it, most immigrants who became naturalized used the immigration law to their advantage and did some trickery here and there. Melania Trump, Ilhan Omar etc come to find. There is no shame in admitting it folks. I love my country Nepal and being a Nepali, but I love USA and also living in the USA and I will fight toooth and nails to keep working and living here until I exhaust every option and TPS is my best chance. Haters and all the naysayers can say whatever they want but it is what it is.
I'm not a hater nor am I a nay sayer when it comes to green card for everyone/anyone. I really wish that tps gets extended and gets path to gc. What I am not understanding is why a reputed organization like adhikar have to say Nepal is not safe. Yes, agreed there is still economical impact from the earthquake and that's why the tps was granted to Nepalis in the first place for economical impact not cuz the life was in danger.
Just for gc are we going to create artificial danger, artificial mao badi or a giant monster waiting at the airport to eat any Nepali that returns from the USA?

At one point last year usa had more covid surge compared to Nepal. Why then usa wasnt safe place to be back then? Why didnt we just begged to drop our status and move back to Nepal if covid was the sole issue. We all know adhikar is trying to help which is great and I support that but lying or in fancy words exaggeration doesnt look so good for such a reputed organization.
If someone climbs a rolling hill but claims of climbing the mt everest, would you call that a lie or an exaggeration? I guess the answer depends on whether we r getting a gc out of that or not ,right ? I'm an immigrant and I know how it is, again they are trying to help but all I'm saying is may be they should be careful with the words they choose.
@echo bro I know what you are saying. But reality is sob story sells in American politics. And let’s face it, if all immigrants followed the spirit of the immigration law, 95 percent of people who naturalized in last 40 years don’t deserve it. Even Americans know this and they love the steady stream of cheap labor so they turn blind eye to it.

My point is: American immigration ma sojho bhaera kam chhaina. Letter of the law follow garne manchhe katai pugdaina. While you are correct in your specifc point about Adhikaar, for me they are the only org fighting for 10,000 Nepali TPS recipients so in the big picture I support them. They helped Nepal get TPS in the first place so the tactic they are using worked in the past. For me, the end justifies the means.
