Hello Guys, I have a quick question on TPS EAD extension. I received the TPS extension approval last week but my EAD has not been approved yet. So my question is if I don’t receive my EAD extension by DEC 21st will I be still able to work since my EAD is in pending status. Any information will be very much appreciated.
You should get your EAD before December 2019 since your TPS already has been approved. You can also call USCIS and talk with a supervisor about your case or get info pass appointment and visit net by USCIS field office.
Thank you Gmajor for your reply also what if you have the approved TPS but you just filed your work permit and let’s say you don’t get it before dec 2018 will the person still be able to work? I am referring this for one my friend who has this situation.
no, until you have the ead on hand and know the valid dates, "your friend" cant.
If he just filed one and did not have EAD before then he is not eligible for automatic extension
Gmajor - he has previous EAD my question was he filed his tps and got approved but did not file the EAD extension since he wanted to go ahead and file now and what if he gets that’s EAD after Dec 2018 will he be still eligible to work? Since it will be still pending ?
if you have the EAD from the first extension (which has 6/24/18 expiration) then you can work until dec 31 2018. If you get another ead by dec 31 then you can work until the end as stated on the TPS site.
You can!, I am on Stem OPT pending, 86 days. My employer accepted the receipt notice of I765.
Thanks nepalithito250! Right there I was confused if that notice will work on not , just trying to be in a safe side. Thanks
