Federal judge rules against Trump admin's decision to end DACA program

A federal judge has ruled against the Trump administration's effort to end the DACA program which offers some protections to young undocumented immigrants from deportation.

WASHINGTON --

A federal judge ruled against the Trump administration's decision to end a program protecting some young immigrants from deportation, calling the Department of Homeland Security's rationale against the program "arbitrary and capricious."

U.S. District Judge John D. Bates in Washington wrote Tuesday that the decision to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, known as DACA, "was unlawful and must be set aside."

Bates wrote that DHS' decision "was predicated primarily on its legal judgment that the program was unlawful. That legal judgment was virtually unexplained, however, and so it cannot support the agency's decision."

Bates gave DHS 90 days to "better explain its view that DACA is unlawful." If the department cannot come up with a better explanation, he wrote, it "must accept and process new as well as renewal DACA applications."

DACA allowed immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children, known as Dreamers, to stay and work legally under renewable permits. President Donald Trump announced last year that he would end the program started by President Barack Obama. It was officially rescinded in March, but DHS is continuing to issue renewals because of previous court orders.

Bates' ruling came in a pair of cases whose lead plaintiffs are the NAACP and Princeton University. He is the third judge to rule against administration plans to end the program.

A major earthquake is due in California which could be super tragic that may require Americans seeking temporary protected status in other countries.

How many people are aware of the super volcano brewing under yellow stone national park, that could wipe out the whole USA.

The point is - we need to be kind to people when it is in our power to do so. When that power to be kind to others could easily be taken away from us anytime, Especially now, when the economy is blooming and there is heavy shortage of workers.

Not only Trump, but we all need to consider this, "Do Good to those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do so :)"

Because the power given to you could soon be taken away...

USA has been a great country in the past, it gave citizenship to trump's grand father even though he was doing sketchy business in USA and was kicked out of Germany. If he was deported, there would have been no Donald trump.

USA gave voting power to women in 1920 less than a century ago.

USA even gave Chinese immigrants given the right to citizenship & vote in 1943

USA gave voting rights to the slaves, making them equal to the American citizens decades ago.

Greatness comes from compassion, love and great people with great work ethics. No country can become great by being mean or selfish or hateful esp to those who are great, have great culture, values, ethics and loyalty.

Any lawyer, Nepali or otherwise who wants to take up the case with U.S. District Judge John D. Bates in Washington..

$9,000 miminum pay, if each TPS holder contributes $1 each, they probably give more.
If they give $12 each, more than $100K

DACA has won, TPS is even more sensitive issue, easier to win. It's about helping people in crisis through legal status in Nepal and remittance.

America does not belong to Trump, his grand father ran away from Germany to take refuse in USA, if trump's grand father had been deported, there would have been no trump. He is because of the mercy of many Americans..

TPS was a blessing to people of Nepal during the time of crisis and was given according to the Immigration Act of 1990, created by Congress.

DHS Secretary broke the law, possibly out of ignorance by not extending the TPS, she should have allowed it to be automatically extend as it was not published at least 60 days in advance of the expiration. Hence TPS must be reinstated.

According to the Immigration Act, " If an extension or termination decision is not published at least 60 days in advance of expiration, the designation is automatically extended for six months. The law does not define the term “temporary” or otherwise limit the amount of time for which a country can have a TPS designation."

Here is the Original Verse:

"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it."

Or

"Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it."

Proverbs 3:27

Lesson for Trump, DHS Secretary & All of us

I have a feeling that Korkipa077 is one of the illegitimate child of Trump, unemployed, surviving on government subsidies.
I may be wrong but I am obligated to express my thoughts for the sake of humanity.
