Is it worth it to join Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)? Any plus or minus of becoming a member? Thanks.

The first MINUS (-) is your bank account!

Note that the governments in the world, social groups, are usually run by people with little or no financial education. Plus, they do not even bother to release any financial statements or demo plans on how to use the expected revenue that will be collected. 'Time for everyone to be a man for himself ( or herself ).

एन आर एन स्थापित भएको, बिदेशमा भएकासिकेका राम्रा गुण, चहे त्यो शिप, ब्यबसाय, लगानी, नेत्रित्व, बिधीको शाशन जस्ता कुरा नेपालमा बिना कुनै कानुनी बाधा अड्चन सदुपयोग / प्रयोग गर्न पाइयोस भनेर पनि हो। तर हुँदै छ ठीक उल्टो। उतै रहेका बेथिती, आवश्यकता भन्दा पनि घातक तन्त्र, लेडे पारालाई बिना कुनै बाधा अड्चन यता स्थापित गराउदै छन्।

यिनिहरुको नारा नेपाल लाई अमेरिका जस्तो बनाउने थियो उ बेला (उपेन्द्र महतोको पालामा), अहिले अमेरिकालाई नेपाल जस्तो बनाउने पारा छ। आफुबसेको समाज समुदायमा निक्कै सफल भएका ब्यक्ती हरु एन आर एनका प्रतिनिधि बन्थे एक ताका, अहिले, आफ्नो समुदाय, भएका फुटकर चिल्लर संस्थामा एक सिन्का पनि भाँच्न नसकेर अर्को कुनै जमातमा नाम खोज्न हिंडेका बज्रस्वाठहरु उम्मेद्वारका दाबेदार देख्दा उदेक लागेको अवस्था।

सदस्य बनिएन। ३ जन होमलेसलाई $५ को दरले $१५ को खान खुवाइयो हेर्नुस्। यती मक्ख पर्‍यो ति होमलेसहरु, आनन्दै अायो।

If you really want to vote for them, do extreme vetting. Ask questions, more questions. Ask what have they done before that makes them think that they can do better on future? Do they have answer for this? Do they hate or dislike you when you ask questions? Do they avoid you because of question? Do they give you a sarcastic remark when you ask something? Does that answer make sense to you as a Nepali and an American Nepali, both? If no, you are wasting your hard earned buck and time and effort in feeding a leech.

Thank you guys for your posting. Appreciate your response. I agree that there seems to be dozens of Nepali orgs and NRN seems to be another one.

I HAVEN BEEN TO THE EVENTS AND AGM ORGANIZED BY NEPALESE ORGANIZATION(LIKE NRN ,ANA,LIONS ETC) BOTH HERE IN STATES AND BACK HOME.WHAT TENDS ME NOT TO JOIN THEM IS THE CONSERVATIVE STYLE OF RUNNING THE ORGANIZATION RATHER THAN BEING MORE LIBERAL.HAVING MORE CONSERVATIVE AGENDA WILL TAKE ORGANIZATION TO HAVE A MISLEADING ELECTIONS AND ALSO NARROW THINGS WITHOUT HAVING COMMON GROUNDS FOR THE PEOPLE WHO MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH THEM.FOR EXAMPLE NRN RIGHT NOW,DOESN'T EVEN MAKE SENSE WHY IS THERE BIG CONFLICT BETWEEN THE LEADING MEMBERS.SOMETIME WE SHOULD MAKE OUR OWN ORGANIZATION WITH MORE LIBERAL THOUGHTS.
