Would anyone know what the official stance of Nepali govn is when it comes down to someone who was receiving pension prior coming to US and then became US citizen?
General consensus is you'll be ineligible soon as you give up Nepal's citizenship which I agree. I've heard from people of something in constitution but if anyone have references to official page or any documents, that'd be great.
Dhanyabad!

soon as u are PR or citizen u have to declare n leave pension otherwise u will be filed a corruption charge.if u never ever comming to nepal, then thats fine otherwise moment u land in Kathmandu u will be detained. ( they have online system to track u in airport ). my uncle was a government employee ( undersecretary pensioned ) he was nearly bout to arrest in ktm ( he had GC). bhastrachar ko mudda file garecha. he was detained in aadhyagaman bivag ( not jail) later he was fined 6 month pension n same amount of extra penalty.

so if u think u r doing back n forth to kathmandu u gotta declare. they will arest u. for authentic information u can see a book called RAJPATRA..its rule that every singlr has to folllow

How does pension work in Nepal? Do employees make some kind of contribution in it while they are employed? Is there pension for semi govt and non govt employees also? If so, do they forfeit their pension (right/ privilege?) like govt employees once they take other country's citizenship?

If pension is a right and someone has contributed in it for 15-20 years, I believe government should honor that person's right regardless of his citizenship. It should be upto the individual to decide if he wants to forfeit pension.
If pension is a privilege and granted by govt. for someone's continued service, even in that case, I believe that decision to revoke pension should lie entirely on individual. Just because someone is a citizen of other country doesnt mean that person is gainfully employed there.

I do not see pension as a form of corruption.
Just my 2 cents.

After working your life you deserve the person.why are they taking it away from the time they already committed? A lot of Ppl take citizenship to live with their families in the us and being a citizen gives them better benefits for heath issues. They are not robbing anyone. It is wrong to take away what they rightfully earned.

Sorry to poke this thread specially reading ethics comment. You are hypocrite. As I read your thread बुडी को साथी संग , it has been recently refreshed shows what you are and who you are .  You giving a lecture on moral to others?

Those honest employee gets monthly salary, सन्चय कोश as 401 k र निब्र्तिभरण at the end.  Retirement is calculated with formula and get monthly for  their life. Now a days it is  deposited directly to saving accounts. You can cash when you go home or you car write a check to somebody to cash it.
