In that case, around 9-11 months more of wait
i got the mail saying all the procedure is finished they passed all our documents now they said the final letter will come that is for the interview so u r saying more of 9 to 11 months ...??? i really hope not its already been a year we applied everything is cleared now m waiting for my interview date that they said will send as soon as the visa availability is there so m asking how long normally it takes to get the interview date ??
I think you don't understand the process behind the Visa bulletin and F2A visa category. NVC doesn't have unlimited visa available for category other than spouse and children of US Citizens. Basically NVC has a cap on the maximum no. of visa they can issue within a fiscal year. So, they issue visa bulletin to indicate which priority date they are processing at the current month. My sister (applied through my mom-sister under 21) had all process completed back in February. And she got her interview today. Until you PD is current, you can do nothing but wait. And one more thing, some months the PD doesn't move at all once all visas available for the year has been used. Last year, it did not moved for 4 straight months. All you can do at this point is pray and watch the visa bulletin each month. It comes around 10th of each month. Yeah, if you spouse becomes US citizen, he can update his status and you will no longer be subjected to visa availability. I hope it helps. Just use your time wisely while you wait for the processing like learning some useful crafts that will help you make your living once you get here.
9-11 months to get the visa interview is the best case scenario. Right now NVC is scheduling interview for cases with PD of Jan 22, 2015 or earlier and yours is Nov 2015.
