Please share TPS application and approval dates
I am starting this thread to know where the TPS application is going and how long is it taking to get approved. If you go to USCIS processing time for nebraska, first of all , TPS is not even in the list (i-821) and second of all the dates are so out of date and updated every 1.5 months or 2. So just creating this thread to get a live tracking based upon others application and approval date. Hope others will help.
My case:
Application received: Dec 11 2015 (TPS only)
Bio metrics date: Jan 12 2016
TPS: Not yet approved
Social security based on TPS also has valid for work with Dhs authorization printed; because you need ead to work with.
@NepalUsaXXX: I think Furke has already answered your question. Let me add some more information for you. Timi sanga SSN cha ra tesma DHS authorization only vanera lekheko cha vane thats fine, NO NEED TO REPLACE OR CHANGE IT.
Short story:
Just a week back I thought I need to replace or change my SSN and went to SSN office. Stayed there on a line for about 1 and half hour and when I had interaction with SSN officer came to know that THERE IS NO NEED TO UPDATE THE SSN since if you get hired you can show your EAD Card from TPS. He further said The only time you need to update or replace it is during change of status like if I am in F1 status and I got greencard or residency status then I need to change or replace the SSN but the number would be same but DHS authorization only written words gets erased.
So EAD card only will do the trick, though employer would ask you for SSN but you should always carry TPS EAD with you before signing hiring form.

furke- Thank you so much for the information.
taremam_bhai- Kuddos to you bro, you really have experienced everything. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I will update once my EAD gets approves and will not bother to update my ss card.
Finally after waiting for very long both my TPS and EAD has been approved.
TPS application received on : October 6, 2015 Approved on: August 2,2016
EAD application received by USCIS: March 18, 2016 Approved on: August 2, 2016
All the best for those who are waiting for their case to be approved. few extra things i did on my case was:
1.called USCIS several times to talk about my case.
2.Tell them to expedite/review ur case.
3.if they don't expedite ask for a senior representative with whom u can talk about expedite and about ur case.
4.wait till the time they say after u make ur expedite request,be careful and dont make multiple expedite request that can slow down ur case.
5.make notes when u call and ask things clearly that how long u have to wait after u make an expedite request (so that u can make another)and follow up with them the dates they give.
6.I went for infopass but the representative couldn't ans all my questions. but he said he'll email nebrasksa to review my case . I dont know it worked or not. July 25 was my infopass date.
7.I was about to do Ombudsman but without it my case approved so i didn't have to do that.
8.I wrote a follow up email to nebraska a week back but didn't get a reply. I got the mailing add from a representative when i called which is as follows: NSCFollowup.NCSC@uscis.dhs.gov
Hope it helps the people who are still waiting for approval.
and all my thanks to sajha members who helped me with their advice.
MY special thanks to Tare_MAM Bhai. Thanks for ur replies and suggestions at the time of need.
Congrats Tymes. On what basis you request for expedite case? Do we need to submit any kind of documents for that?
Thanks piece of shit,
Just call to inquire about ur case that USCIS. First listen to whatever they say . ask them about the normal processing time ..They can expedite if ur time frame has exceeded or about to approach. U dont need any documents for that just ur case numbers. If the person u call doesn't agree to expedite or review ask them to transfer the call to senior representative they transfer calls. when they asked me basis to expedite as i didn't have EAD without work its really hard to survive i gave them those reasons. For TPS also it had been really long so they did expedite . So do for both. at least do everything from ur side.
Thank you Tymes. I will try that route.
Any luck for anyone recently? My case is still pending. Applied on December.
