Is game machines legal in stores in Dallas? Can a store owner make lots of money from game machines? In Houston, people make more money from game machines than inside selling.

to put game machines in stores itself is not illegal. To cash the ticket from the machine is, coz that will be considered gambling and it is illegal in texas. I have seen lots of desi owners let play especially in the hood whom they know and are regulars and stay away from trouble. I have seen people arrested from undercovers trying to cash the ticket. Bottomline, its not worth it; because of all the penalties and jail time.

Game machine is not illegal but paying cash as winning is illegal. However the store owners have been exploiting it. Many have made fortune out of it. I think the case is in the court on whether to ban it completely. Yiu may have to have separate license to operate game machine in game room type business. That's what I heard.
