Q. about Visitor Visa for Parents
Namaste Sajha users,
My parents are applying for visitor visa for US. Do they need to submit police report/medical report also at the embassy? What supporting documents are needed from their side?
I will highly appreciate if you guys could share your experience/expertise :)
Thanks in advance!

When I did invite my Parents back in 2009, All I sent was an invitation later stating that I will be responsible for their expenses while in the States. So, for the visitor visa, you don't really need to send anything other than invitation later. They don't intend to stay here, are they?
Thanks for your response Khumbule. No, they don't intend to stay here. Btw, I was asking what documents they need from their side? To be specific, do they need to show police report/medical report for them? Because for F1 visa, you need those things, but not sure about visitor visa.
responded in another thread
No. Only documents they need are your invitarion, their financial documents and any supporting document that can help to lrove that they have strong ties to nepal and do not plan to stay in us. If your parents have job then leave letter, property valuation, should be enough
One thing is not clear at this time. What is the purpose of visiting the USA? Whatever the reason is but in general here are the list that my parents have submitted to receive a visa.
1. Relation certificate
2. Bank balance
3. Property evaluation
4. Sponsor letter from your side
5. Employers letter if your parent still have job.
6. Your pay check if you are sponsor
7. Police report and health report are optional(We didn't submit)
8. Invitation letter and mention clearly why you are inviting your parents.
I hope this will help you.
Thank you goddamn & KNepali. Everything else is taken care of. I was just not sure about Police report/medical report. Seems like it's not required, so I will have them skip those.
Thanks again guys!!
