Hello All,

I am currently on H1b with Employer A. And last year I went to Nepal for stamping. So currently, name of "Employer A" is on my H1b stamp (On passport).

I am now planning to switch and transfer my H1b to Employer B. After this transfer, if I go to Nepal, do I still need to schedule consular appointment in Kathmandu?

I googled and people said that as long as H1b is valid, I do not need to get a new stamp and I just have to show new I797 in port of entry.

Please share your experience if you were on a similar situation.

Regards,

No, you don't need to go for stamping if you have a valid visa in your passport. New I-797, employment verification letter, and paystubs(just in case) should be enough at port of entry. Most of the time they don't even bother to ask questions, but you never know!
