It is interesting how facebook is lit up with rage against the hunter Dentist who killed Cecil the lion. What is hard to understand is why Cecil the lion has so much sympathy from the people. If you think about it, it is just another animal like goat or buffalo that we kill and eat. In fact millions of such animals are killed everyday for human consumption. These animals are infact harmless to human beings but we kill them anyways without any kind of remorse. But kill a lion which would kill human beings in a heartbeat then the human being is the bad guy.

Because such kinda Lions are becoming extinct and are very vital to the ecosystem cycle. You can't compare a lion to a grass eating goat or buffalo.

Why is killing a rhino in Nepal a crime but killing a buffalo for meat not a crime? As s_man23 said, it all boils down to what animals are protected because of potential extinction. Cecil was one of the most iconic protected and beloved lion in that National Park and was a main factor of booming tourism in the park. The lion was a part of a research study from Oxford university which had attached GPS on its collar. That dentist paid over 50k USD to kill Cecil not to kill just a lion. If he can't be punished legally, he can be punished online the way everyone is doing.

Do you think one can go to our Jawalakhel zoo and kill the tiger and not be punished?

Dude don't compare lion with turkey, lion is lion. Hundred of people die in street every, but the day president dies is holiday. So try to be lion don't settle down as turkey.

Rethink you seriously need to think about your life. I can see your view and your idea are shit. Take some time and think about your self. As a normal reader of news with no connection to Zimbabwe and animal reserve group i feel pain on that news. And you compare this to chicken of your meal.
