This White House site says this petition is archived . I don't think Obama administration will approve this TPS.
@robwin...petition was archived because there was not enough signature~ 100k...TPS has nth to do with number of signatures..........USCIS has already decided to grant TPS...its not matter of IF but WHEN,are we gonna hear about this good news. Congratulation to all nepali brothers and sisters in advance.

I hope you guys won't hate me for asking this question. What documents can be used to prove continous residence in usa if a person is illegal (ie undocumented person). If the person has
1) No employment document (paystub w2 etc)
2) No school record (out of status).
3)Staying with friends so no rent or utilities bill, cell phone is under family plan and thus bill would have primary account holder name.
does a bank document proves continous residence???

Yes it does. Do you have car? Insurance? Registration sticker?
So bank statement does prove residence ??
4) no car either, that person uses public transportation and sometimes walk. no health insurance either (can't afford one).

robwin, that's coz a petitioner had high expectation and miserably failed. I mean 100,000 thousand signatures, seriously???
But there were another petitioners who asked for far minimum signatures and they timely met the signature limit??
So, don't rub your head against the wall thinking that petition has been archived and that all hope was over. I don't think so. There still is hope. It's obama word.
So, keep hoping.

Idont think it's coming Haiti was designated TOS within a month and 2 billion funds for relief work compared to that Nepal it's already close to two months I don't know if Obama likes Asians lol

Guys, it is good to have an
opinion, but if you don't know about the subject, blind speculation is a
disaster. In fact, no one knows if TPS will be granted, but seems that there is
a positive wave coming, not sure it is just a wave or there will be an action.

•TPS does not need legislation, and as a humanitarian issue, it falls under the Executive Branch (President) jurisditction to determine such designation. The first step is for the USCIS to submit a draft of notice of designation to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under the rule-making Executive Order. Since designation of TPS is just a notice and not a rule, as soon as the OMB review is completed and cleared, it will be published in the federal register in the form of a notice, which will stipute the details of registration period, registration process, and the period of designation. The OMB clearance sometimes takes only one day in emergency but in most cases it takes from one week to one month or even longer. For the designation of Nepal as a TPS nation, it is considered not economically significant but has international impact, and it is likely to take more than one day before the OMB clears such designation decision of the USCIS.
•For Napali who have a stake at this designation, we are pleased to show the link here to give them a peace of mind. It will be just a matter of the time for the White House OMB to process and clear and the USCIS publishes it in the federal register. Congratulations are due to the people of Nepal who are present in the United States.
•Pending the process, the stakeholder agency or White House will not release an announcement.
